if only there wasn't profit to be made from making people do this every year :P there's a form for my state that just has, "because this form is complex, if you decide to leave this area blank, the treasury will calculate what you owe and bill you accordingly."

This happened to so many of the discussions about the '' changes ''.
There were people on one side who came in and started to derail it into culture war crap and went on rants about minorities, political movements in the US, comics and '' wokeness '' etc, when people were talking about the skins...
And then you get both a response to that which only derails it even further and makes the '' discussion '' even more deranged and you also get people who ONLY step into the thread to mock people for caring about skins ( who supposedly don't care, yet spend the most time arguing in the thread ).
And then those people just go at each others throats until it gets locked or deleted.
It really feels like the later in particular is intentionally doing it because they know that it gets threads locked or deleted.

Some people can't seem to handle that people are more nuanced than just two sides of the extreme yelling at each other.
I've gotten this before too when I've asked for more feminine options of gear/ clothing in a game, and I even went out of my way to make it VERY clear that I was not talking about '' bikini armor '' because I know that it always gets stereotyped and derailed into that.

Which is precisely what happened from the very first comment, someone clearly either didn't read my actual OP or they did but it just went out the other ear uh, eye and their brain just couldn't comprehend something that didn't fit into the most stereotypical box.
And ofc basically no one else did either it just derailed completely into accusations of this and that.

I think it's how it tends to go same thing with stuff like discussions about Easy Mode in games like the Souls games, it's never an actual discussion it's mostly just either '' stop cryin get gud casual '' or '' omg toxic elitist Gamer '' there's like zero nuance and it makes it hard to have conversations about anything.

Right now, you can't even talk about Artist on their forums. I am talking, the entire class artist. You can't talk about it, every single topic on the class artist gets deleted. It would be like the mods here blanket banning any talk of lalafell here. So, I literally can't even discuss the class I plan on maining. A class in the game. It has got to be the most ridiculous form of moderation I have EVER seen.

It's a support class, I like support, don't be mean.

It would be like the mods here blanket banning any talk of lalafell here. So, I literally can't even discuss the class I plan on maining. A class in the game. I was banned for the same reason before because I said that the change to the demon form was what made me decide against playing Shadowhunter after being the most hyped about it at first and that it disappointed me...
Am I not allowed to be disappointed rofl?
They also gave me a second reason and said that I was telling people to not play the game which just isn't true at all.
I have serious doubts that people who only go into threads to tell people how much they supposedly don't care about the issues people are having or are VERY aggressively arguing in favor of AGS's decisions get the same bans...

Honestly I almost doubt Artist will even be added at all.
Like you said tho it's quite baffling that AGS are even publishing this game at all.
I wonder if they're regretting it, it's not exactly like Amazon is in need of cash.

I don't know if they actually understand how off-putting how they're handling things are.
I am someone who spend quite a lot of money on cosmetics in games I like ( don't even want to think about how much I've spent in FFXIV ), but I haven't spent anything in Lost Ark because I just REALLY dislike AGS and how they're handling it.
I said it way back before the game was out to the CM's I told them that Lost Ark would be my first impression of AGS and that how they handled it would make or break my view of them as a publisher.
To me it's not only about Lost Ark under them either, but now it's also every AGS game whether developed or only published moving forward they've killed all of my enthusiasm.

I am very careful too. I guess they just got tired of my replies about the subject. I was annoyed about how even positive threads. I'm talking literally just people talking about how they are excited about a class, were getting deleted. Like I said before, that would be like the equivalent of "show your lalafell" getting deleted, because a troll made another lalafell thread. Yep. I had a couple interactions with their CMs, but after the next artist thread was deleted, I guess did it one too many times. It's crazy to think that Amazon can't afford forum mods, so they have to censor entire topics - that is if you believe them.

I think they are going to pretty much kill the game, and when everyone leaves, they are going to try and pull a New World to get people back. It might even work, since Lost Ark is still a pretty good game for many people at it's core. I think I would have literally liked any other publisher for that game more. At least we would have got the skins.

I don't know about artist. I think they will grudgingly release her anyway, I just want to play a support class as a main for progression type content. I really do prefer supports for stuff. Even PvP I've always like supports (healers). I'd play them in like Smite and stuff too.

It just sucks, because I really wanted to like the game, since I don't really agree with FFXIV's direction after Endwalker, and I am getting further demotivated to play this game, but even still, I am a lot more comfortable here.

Dear lawd I was about to buy SW:Battlefront 2 then I checked on Origins just to be sure and I actually owned it.
I had no idea lel, totally forgot.
Then I install and launch it and I have to launch it through the Epic Games store <_<.

Gooby plz, can we not have a billion launchers?
I installed it on Origin and can't launch it from Origin it forces me to open and launch through Epic Games.

UUUUUUUUUGH, STOP WITH THESE COUNTLESS LAUNCHERS JUST LET ME HAVE IT ALL ON ONE.
And I wanted to just add it on Steam as a '' non-Steam game '', I don't even want to think about the complete clusterfuck that'd be.

Same, I hate launchers too. Companies are in such a rush to promote all their products individually that they never realize how they're simultaneously pushing people away from themselves. I bought Assassin's Creed 2 many years ago on Steam but after experiencing awful old UPlay I uninstalled it and never played it again - or bought any more AC games - out of principle.

Steam rocks. I envy consoles sometimes for having such unified storefronts and launch mechanisms.
