Took me quite awhile to be able to log into the forums again, even though I had logged into the game over two days ago.. I can't help but laugh about this hrothgar hair drama. You accept mediocrity, you get mediocrity.

I have a newfound appreciation of the somewhat hands off approach of the moderation here. Over on the Lost Ark forums, they mass delete, ban, and blanket remove anything and everything related to any particular topic. We had a couple positive threads about their class artist, and just the skins in their game. Deleted. I posted in another thread about skins, and I watched in real time as my posts were hidden, and then subsequently deleted one by one, along with the person who replied to me. Not only that though, they then deleted the thread I bumped in it's entirety.
Somehow, I was one of the few who didn't get banned.
I'm sorry for taking you all for granted SE forum mods.

unless you talk about your bad experiences with the community a few times, because then they'll find laughable reasons to ban you, plus the selective moderation in general
yes, I won't shut up about these issues because they're pretty damn huge ones

I'm still standing after two bans and five years.
I do feel like we are largely ignored, and Twitter or other social medias are where the CMs spend most of their time.
Exactly how I feel. They touched on it too, over there if there is any conflict they can and will just entirely delete threads. So, if a troll goes into your positive thread, they can get the cms to delete it. I do think it is an excuse, they just don't like certain topics being discussed, in my opinion. I don't understand why they would publish a game that has this sort of content in it if they have problems with it, but "westernizing" that game will only ruin it, and stifling discussion of the game only creates further bad PR.
Shadowhunter isn't even 'Shadowhunter' originally. It's 'Demonic'. They renamed it "Shadowhunter" to follow their "new" design. Which is actually just making the skin dark blue, and darkening the hair.

third will be permanent and can happen for the smallest reasons
remember, my first ban was for a harmless joke at not a single person's expense and my last one was for saying that another poster is only ever posting to trash wow and thus isn't offering a lot in terms of content, while far, far more harmful things are posted, insinuated and implied on a daily basis and are not getting acted upon, despite reports, and by pure chance, those are posted by people willingly defending whatever this company and community does, in 99% of cases
Oh, I am well aware. Any misstep here, I could easily get banned again. I try to be very careful.third will be permanent and can happen for the smallest reasons

I've noticed this too.
In the end of the day there is no such thing as perfect moderation there will always be some bs that happens, but I'd rather take the moderation on this forum over the AGS moderation on the Lost Ark forums.
Especially deleting threads that are actual discussions and feedback, they've deleted A LOT of threads talking about the demon form change too.
I really REALLY hope that Smilegate decides to drop AGS at some point, the game director seem'd genuinely unhappy with them in the QnA before release he publically criticized them.
I suppose some people will say that they're right for deleting the threads because AGS already gave a response and people keep making threads about it, but that's essentially just saying that we should accept what they said and just sit down and shut up about it...
Which I fundamentally disagree with, I think people should keep voicing their concerns about these things because otherwise how will change ever happen if there's no pressure on them?
It's the same with P2W too people shouldn't just bend over backwards and take it, they should keep talking about it.
If AGS can just delete threads and pretend like they never existed then it becomes easy for them to just ignore genuine feedback and run the game like a dictatorship.
It's especially shitty when it's not even their game and we have no idea what feedback they in reality decide to communicate to the actual devs or not.
Even if the Korean devs read the forums too they won't see it if it's deleted... It's just extremely scummy.
It's the same on the Steam forums too they've deleted threads systematically... It's not even locking too but just outright deletion which kinda says something, that's just trying to hide things.
Some of the mods are clearly on a power trip...
Another thing they do too is not '' unhide '' comments that have been hidden due to abuse of the report button, both comments I agree and disagree with but a lot of the ones I see that have been hidden are totally normal and aren't rude or anything they're just genuine feedback.
And I see a lot of comments that some of the mods clearly disagree with that remain hidden permanently while some of the ones that are more in favor of their '' changes '' are unhidden.... It's so blatantly transparent especially when it's big threads and it's the OP being hidden but then another more in favor of them gets unhidden.
Ultimately they have the power over what they choose to communicate and it feels like they're abusing that power.
Like when someone is in agreement with their changes I suddenly see their CM's come out of the woodworks and be all like '' wow we hear you, I will talk to the team '' but when it's negative feedback not in line with their current line they just ignore it or delete it...

Feel like past few days have been going great for me. Too great... is it the calm before the storm?! IDK, will see what the future brings I guess! If only I could top it off with boosting a Job to 90... nah, that's way too greedy and boosting is a bad practice.

I don't think the moderation is what's wrong here but the devs giving 2 shits about the forums lolI have a newfound appreciation of the somewhat hands off approach of the moderation here. Do we have an obligatory American "why the heck do I have to figure out taxes out when every other country has their crap together?" yet? Totally not working on an amended return right now due to my employer messing up.. I cry.
