Yeah. It just makes even less sense now to me, given the state of the game. They've been doing time-gated raid releases like that since the Sunwell back in TBC. They say it's to keep the raiders from just burning through it all and then complaining that there's nothing to do.
Suppose it beats the Vanilla method of releasing raids with bosses that are blatantly bugged or unfinished and pretending it was totally supposed to be that way no really guys we swear.
Was about to install Lost Ark again, then I see the new login screen and it's a censored version of a Gunslinger skin.
You can quite literally see the original skin clip through it because they've just painted the entire body from neck down to cover all skin rofl.
It's basically a leotard bottom with thigh-high stockings and some cleavage, in the censored version you can see the leotard bottom and stockings clip on top of the '' pants '' they edited in and the chest area is very clearly and awkwardly painted over.
The most frustrating thing too is that there even is a version of the skin with pants that they've used before in the marketing and is in the armor preview AND in the store currently.
But instead they decide that it'd be a good idea to take the more revealing version and go out of their way to lazily censor it and just apply a black bodysuit texture to the model they use.
I have no idea how AGS can be so totally incompetent and tone deaf, after all the anger about this they still do it.
Like it's actually just stupid and so unnecessary if they had a problem for some reason with the original as a login screen then USE ANOTHER VERSION OF IT OR ANOTHER SKIN ENTIRELY OMFG WHY DOES THIS NEED TO BE EXPLAINED TO THEM?
I am just at a total loss for words, like I know it doesn't matter to some people but it really puts me off and makes me distrust their handling of the game.
Just so tired of it, holy hell can't have anything fun ever with Western devs I hate how stuff I like has to be a constant source of headaches.
Ugh...
Think imma go and finally play the FF7 Remake instead...
It actually looks really really good imo, I never played the original tho I am not actually a FF fan or anything.
Only FF game I've played before FFXIV was FF Lightning Returns xD.
I think I just didn't find the gameplay appealing when I was younger but nowadays I really enjoy that type of gameplay.

Just a fair warning - the FF7 ReMakester is great!! But Nomura has taken liberty with the story, and it is not a 1:1 redo of the original FF7 story. I had a friend get upset because they had people marketting it to them as a way to experience the FF7 story in fresh hi-def graphics, only to realize it isn't the same exact story as the original.Think imma go and finally play the FF7 Remake instead...

Still very worth it, but just be forewarned about that!
Which way western devs?
Yeah I heard people talk about that, to me it's all a new experience so I have no reference point xD.Just a fair warning - the FF7 ReMakester is great!! Thanks for the warning and reminder tho.
I actually do own the original too and want to play it at some point.
I dunno if you saw the debacle on Twitter with Ubisoft and Guerilla devs trashing Elden Ring but I ain't even surprised.
There was quite a lot of jealousy on display.
It lead to some pretty funny memes tho, I think Elden Ring was sort of an eye-opener and reminder to a lot of people that open world games in particular nowadays kinda treat the player as a moron and are way too streamlined.
There was an ex Ubisoft dev too who called them out and went on a big rant about the state of game development and the mentality and attitudes he experienced about this.
This edited pic is so true tho xD.
I am rly curious about the next Elder Scrolls game and how it'll play out, I just hope it won't follow these '' AAA trends '' and that it'll go back to its roots more.
I think that when the name '' Ubisoft '' has essentially become a meme especially then maybe some introspection is warranted.
And there just seems to be a complete lack of humility.

Forgot to log in to FFXIV for over 2 weeks..

Yesterday, I found myself thinking of playing Vindictus again, then had to take manual control of my brain and remember all the things that made it not fun to play to stop myself from reinstalling it.
The destiny of all korean f2p games: eliminate your f2p playerbase, keep the dedicated whales in.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Sometimes I feel like reinstalling Black Desert Online too but yeah I just don't rly want to play games with insane grinds and P2W.
It's funny how much people hate on stuff like Eureka and Bozja because they're not actually THAT grindy at all.
You could essentially do it in one day if you're really really dedicated ( maybe not Eureka, but most of it ).
24 hours in total or around that isn't what I'd consider to be a massive grind.
Obviously I am oversimplifying the steps for the Relic weapons were a bit tedious.
But I think a lot of people don't realize how actually non-grindy they were in the grand scheme of things.
Been having a blast in Dragon Age Inquisition.
I decided to play Qunari this go around. My last playthrough is to RP Tal Vashoth seducing the Ben Hasrathhhhh
I pray to my pineapple coconut ice that Iron Bull returns in DA4 and I get my wedding.
And this far in Elden Ring, this concludes my experience even on basic mobs lol

Man, now I wanna play DA:I again but idk if I wanna spend 2-3 hrs reinstalling mods and making sure they work. Or maybe just focus solely on hair mods.
