Can we talk about the possibility of making muscular chicks too? I know it's perfectly stupid, but this cosmetic option is what made me choose one race over another.

All genders and races in this game deserve muscle sliders and I will die on this hill as well.

If I have one hope for female Hrothgar when we see them in 7.0 (hopefully), it's that they're as tall as femroes, as muscled as their male counterparts, and with completely feline faces rather than just "miqo'te girls painted over with a fur tool". Don't be like ArcheAge and moe-fy the big cat women, thanks.

Update on my computer-acquiring escapades! Computer is fully set up and ready to go, and the benchmark shows a score of... drumroll please...

This is with the game set to borderless windowed (but nothing else is changed). Average FPS was 111 and minimum was 50 during the really high intensity scenes.

Basic PC specs are as follows:
CPU: 11th gen Intel core i5
8 gigs ram (to be upgraded to 16 gigs once another stick comes in the mail)
Motherboard: Gigabyte b560
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (a huge step up from my 1050ti!!!)
And a 500gig SSD, a step up from my 2TB HDD.

I've just been really hooked to Lost Ark, haven't even been posting. Never bothered with Elden Ring, but I probably need a new controller for it anyway. I've been needing one for like two years now, but I play so few games that actually play better or that I would prefer with a controller, that I just never bothered buying a new one. Stopped me from playing games like Monster Hunter: World.

I can say that the "pay 2 win" aspects of Lost Ark seem heavily exaggerated - at least for NA release. Much of it definite clickbait, as I had thought. I am just about tier 3 (bad luck), and I still haven't spent anything, not even on the ten dollars for the optional sub (though, it's pretty strong allowing you to repair and access storage in abyss dungeons). It certainly is "pay 2 win", but it's nowhere near as overbearing as any other korean mmorpg I have tried. I have been taking my time with it, doing all stories, reading them, and watching all cutscenes. Alts are being leveled on the side, I haven't tried using a boost.

By the way, I am nearly tier 3 without even accessing the mats from being in a guild (nor any alts to funnel them yet) - I also play it solo.

One gripe I have is the localization. You have characters constantly misgendered, your character misgendered sometimes. Like, it's really bad. I mean, it just kind of takes you out of the game's story. Also, as a sorceress, who is a silvain (elf), you are constantly referred to as a "human", aside from a couple lines and your actual homeland. They really need to go back and fix it. One thing I appreciate about FFXIV is a lot of effort actually goes into making it work for english speakers.

An empty Limsa genuinely looks odd simply because there's always people there no matter the time of day or night on Cerberus.

Names can be tough to get right. A lorewise name is likely the best way if you are a bit short on ideas. From the race, look up the relevant name-lore pages here on the forums, then just play with it until one clicks.

I have also bumped the "pick a random" a few hundred times on character creator until I get an idea from the randoms and use that to make something similar.
