Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

I think for me, when I tend to use the joy emote at someone it’s usually to convey being excited or super happy and while I wouldn’t have her jumping up and down and waving her arms, something a bit sharper and more obviously jubilant rather than quietly pleased would be preferred. The joy emote was the only emote when I first changed that made me go “oh wait did I press the right one?” because I was accustomed to it being a much louder emotion on the other races. I guess I shouldn’t say I wish it was different as much as that it took some getting used to lol.

I really love how the joy emote looks but I agree it doesn't match up well with what joy is supposed to be. It should be a little bit more dramatic instead of being like "oh that's kinda nice" sort of reaction.

Seconded on the short hairstyle. I know everyone else is tired of them but I’m begging for more on viera.

Well the people complaining about that already have a very long list of short hairstyles. We have two. Technically one given they're nearly the same, they're just two versions of one hairstyle. Viera already have a tidy long hairstyle, and a tidy mid length hairstyle...but missing a tidy short hairstyle. When I was a miqo I used the Asahi hair (trust me it looks way better on miqos than it does on him) and there is nothing even vaguely similar on viera. The hair I use right now is nice but it doesn't suit who I think my character is. Nothing viera has does, so she feels incomplete.

As somebody who had as specific design in mind, I don't see myself changing hair even if we got new hairstyles. But as somebody who creates alts galore, it's just so disappointing to use the same hairstyles over and over again. Hrothgar? I don't even HAVE an alt for them; I get to hair and face design and moments later, I'm quitting cause I'm just not happy settling for whatever I picked. It's really disheartening to not even get a word to tease about more options coming. If they could just say SOMETHING, even a "we're not focused on that right now/ever", that would settle things. But it's just an open ended situation that leaves us all waiting for answers.

Same, esp if they add a bangs option to it. We got hairstyles based on Fran and Jote so I’m hoping we get Mjrn’s down the line. There’s even a spot on the First named after her! I know you haven’t forgotten about her, devs!

Oh, true, but given the lore behind the location and the one letter change I still assume it’s a reference to her character.
A side quest that takes you there talks about the river being made from the tears of a viis named Mjrl who yearned for the outside world.

They did promise to increase options and fix helmets over time. They still didnt deliver. Pandemic or not, other companies manage just right. SEs once again very slow with delivering.

they never specified when.Yoshi said as the schedule allowed and square at least has been speedy with it's content updates.

I played with the character creator yesterday with Hrothgar to see if it really was that bad and was genuinely taken aback by how detailed their emotes are. Their animations are so vibrant and loaded with way more personality than most of the other male options. Now I want Hrothgirls even more as that’s actually a trade-off I’d take for her have pitiful customization if she’s bursting with as much personality as the guys. Viera doesn’t quite hit that note.

I would love to have more hair options tbh, I was really dissapointed to see that practically all of the new hairstyles that you can add to your account aren't available on Viera. Also, what's up with the helmets/hats? 80% of them can't see them on my character. :O
