Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

I'd hope this thread stays lively somehow to keep it on the front page, it's always annoying to see people say we need a megathread but then completely ignore that it's considered spam to just bump posts up to the front page. Most threads live and die by people arguing in them on a daily/weekly basis if they're not a storytime or screenshot thread.

Anyways gib Viera and Hroth more hair, they obviously test helms to see if/how they would fit, do the same for hairs.

While I've been able to quell my anger and frustration at the lack of hairstyle and headgear availability due to the fact I play with multiple characters of various races (including Hrothger), whenever I jump back onto my bunny girl I start to slowly come to the realization all over again just how lacking she is in the customization hair department. And don't even get me started on all the hats I've had to toss out. Is it so hard to make the Bard, Samurai and Machinists hats to work on a Viera!? Come on, man! At least make relic hat gear at least be able to be used by Viera! And that includes Hrothger, too, obviously!

And the Nier Raid's headgear! I was so excited to get all the head gear for the second raid, like how I did for the first one, but I couldn't even equip them on my Viera with them disappearing! For God's sakes, this is a freaking collab with Yoko Taro!!!! I was HOPING Yoshi and his team would put more effort into making ALL the Nier hewdgesr functional for Viera and Hrothgar somehow, but they couldn't even do it! For awhile that burned me up so bad every time I had to run that raid and honestly, I'm kind of not looking forward to the last Nier Raid with my Viera because I just know they'll pull the same stunt again. :'(

My guess.. they're not coming. That at least I will agree is wrong. If they were promised 'unique hair' sometime down the line then you'd generally expect them to keep their word.

2. If half a dozen players (actually, pretty sure its less than that) managed to 'fix' the headgear issue with limited spare time, how the hell is it so super duper taxing impossible for a paid professional 3d modeling team?

If you are talking about that head gear fix mod its still not that great
hair clips through hat's and helmets and adjusting stuff client side is much easier than server side.

its not like there is a Hat division that is slacking its they have to make multiple gear each patch and have to make sure it fits every race and yes hrothgar and viera still miss out on new hats but it's clear to see they at least try to make it work with them like the Bozja hood of fending and crypt lurker helm of Maiming/healing.

It was said during the reveal that they wouldn't have headgear or modern aethetics compatibility that they would be adding more unique hair in the future. IIrc they mentioned that they knew the selection at launch was sparse and not a representation of what we should expect, but I'd have to find the LL clip of that.

Not that I'm advocating for letting viera have all hair, but I'm tired of the clipping excuse. Gear routinely clips into player bodies, and the current viera hair already clips into everything because it has the physics of a sheet of bent cardboard. Unique and quality hair btw.

Yeah, I really won't take clipping as an excuse when it's present everywhere else. I have to avoid entire glamour sets because my preferred hair style, the hime cut, clips like hell on them. They already make no effort to resolve hair clipping issues with gear that has high collars, hoods or other such stuff, so it really shouldn't stop Viera hairstyles.

Glad to see this thread when I woke up!

Hopefully they will have something to show in May, it will have already been way too long even then but the least they could do is address it.
