I'm thankful to find out its not just me experiencing this. I too am in the same region with the same ISP and have been experiencing the exact same issue!

Checked my equipment, settings, drivers, etc. Only FFXIV seems to be affected just as you mentioned. Ugh. I hope they resolve this before 5.5 drops.

This has been happening several days and no one has heard anything from Square Enix about this issue. About 15 people I have talked to are having the same issue in different places in the US. Arizona, Ohio, California, Oregon, people in all those states have had issues. I am getting really angry and all I want is to hear something from Square that it is being worked on.
Using a VPN (mozilla as suggested) seemed to get rid of 90% of the problems! Nord vpn seems to work too, they have a money back guarantee for 30 days, so might be a cheap option until this blows over.

I'm in San Diego, have Cox as my ISP and the lag is terrible. I'm not sure a VPN to LA would help.

Can someone please tell me how to get my server address so I can run a tracert? It's utterly ridiculous that there isn't a way to even begin to diagnose these issues.

Ok, I tried the Mozzilla VPN solution. It was no help, which was not really surprising. I'm still rubberbanding all around the Crystarium. And now I'm out coffee money for the next few days.

There are multiple lag problems going on. One appears to be Comcast related. The other is not.

Again, if someone could point me in the direction of some tools to help diagnose this, it would be helpful.

    Traced Route, Found Problem Node

The node that is dropping packets is in California. It's a .ntt node, which has had issues before. The packet drops only occur after 10:30pm ET for me, which is right in the middle of my raiding hours. It has really hampered my game play.

I'm with the same problem. It started this same day (11/04) and i wasn't even able to do a sastasha dungeon... Kept getting disconnected all the time, skills not registering or taking 15 to 30 secs to register, can't see the action taking place at all... What's going on?! This has never happened before. I'm from Goblin. And no, its not my isp. Funny that i spent yesterday all day long leveling my paladin through dungeons and just this evening that this happened...

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps for PS4:

    - Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN browser. If they are already checked, please uncheck them then recheck them.
    - The issue could also be from the "Date & Time" settings on your PS4.
    1. Close the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
    2. Go to [SETTINGS] on your PS4
    3. Select [Date and Time], and "Set via Internet". (Please do not manually set the date and time.)
    4. Once the date and time have been updated, please restart your PS4 console.
    5. Once the console has fully restarted, please start the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.

Please make sure all other internet-enabled devices (including smartphones, laptop/desktop PCs, tablets, etc.) have been disabled and/or turned OFF to minimize game interference.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy Technical Support Forums.
