    Terrible lag - need help please

    I've been experiencing really bad lag since returning to the game. I've mainly been crafting and gathering, so it hasn't been too much of a problem. But now that I want to get into some content, its a real issue.

    I thought it was my wifi, but I was running wired this am and had the same issue. My download speeds in the Crystarium were in the 300s - basically a slide show.

    Is there a server or data center that is preferred for West Coast US people? I've found conflicting information online and most of it is pretty old.

    If it helps, my connection speed according to speedtest.net is 174 down and 11 up.

    Anyone? Any suggestions? It's been going on for some time, so it is not related to the problem people began experiencing a few days ago (and appears to be a Comcast issue - I have Cox).

    If someone can point me to a list of IP addresses for FFXIV servers, that may be helpful.

    Thank you for responding! So far, the only thing I've been able to rule out is the wireless issue. I'm currently plugged into my router and I see no difference. What else can I try? I'm playing on a laptop, not a PlayStation.

    Dynratygus, Has someone at SE seen the other large (and growing quickly) threads on this page regarding this issue?
    I haven't seen official responses on those.

    Ok, I tried the Mozilla VPN solution. Not only did it not help, it made it worse. Much worse. It took 5 tries to click on the transporter in Prae to get it to work.

    Will someone PLEASE post an IP for Leviathan so I can run a tracert?

    Finally able to run a tracert. I ran it a couple times and there is a consistent issue with the 8th hop:

    Can anyone tell me who's issue this is? It appears to be ntt which, according to the other threads, is SE's ISP as well as their server provider.

    If I have it wrong, please let me know. I'm happy to make calls to Cox or make whatever changes I need to make here. I just need some direction.
