    That's a matter of opinion and preference. I rather liked the Blessed Tools, it was a lengthy but fairly relaxed grind you could do over time while selling the items. Not many people got the tools while current so they had rarity and it gave some purpose to obscure recipes and having a decent stockpile of mats.

    Obviously they're not everyone's cup of tea, so it's understandable if some found it "obnoxious". But the relic should have been the fix to that, involving up to date crafts and Experts for those who preferred that route over the Blessed Tools. Instead they scrapped that system and both tools involve Experts, which is sort of a shame.

    Yep, I found having to craft one of everything a lot less obnoxious than the RNG in Expert Recipes. They had a decent idea there with the new conditions, but they make it far too dependent on RNG. When you go 33 steps without a single Pliant, there's something wrong with their metrics. Whereas crafting one of everything is a lot of time material gathering but it feels much more rewarding for me since I'm actively working the entire time, rather than just getting lucky with RNGesus.

    I think the biggest issue for me with Experts is they turn it into such a long grind. With the Pteranodon mount, ranked seasons and the last step of the Relic, some of us have been spamming Experts non-stop and now we've got another set of tools which demands we spam quite a few hundreds of Experts yet again. I like Experts and they're a good challenge starting out, but once you crack the priority system and get a few hundred made, the challenge is diminished and it's just a really long tedious grind where rng becomes more noticable.

    The new tools look nice, but I'm wondering why I even bothered with the relic.

    I looked at the requirements and decided this is going to be something I come back to when I'm 90 and can one button craft them for glamour.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
