Raise macros almost never working the past few days

I am having an issue with raise macros since Monday. They almost NEVER work since them. I have to hit it up to five or six times before it actually raises someone. The macros will only work 1/10 times I press the button for it.

I will hit Swiftcast, then my raise macos. The text goes off, but not the raise itself. This is happening across ALL my characters and classes. SMN, RDM, WHM.

I have a "/wait 1" at the beginning just in case I hit the macros too soon after Swiftcast and ever since I added that "/wait 1" the macros worked flawlessly, worked every time—up to Monday and it almost NEVER worked since.

I even tried waiting a second or two anyway to see if that helps, but nope, still refuses to raise someone 9/10 times.

By the time I DO get it to raise someone, Swiftcast has long since deactivated and I have to resurrect the long way.

I do not know if this is related to the Comcast server lag or not because I AM on Comcast and have been having server lag like everybody in the huge thread here.

I KNOW that it is NOT that another person is beating me to raising because it failed to work in EXDR when the healer was down and the other DPS was dragoon.


Does anybody know what the problem could be?

I dont use comcast, and this isnt directly related, but...
a few weeks ago i got lag while gathering on MNR. I was mid levequest, and the lag would cause me to use the gathering action 4-5 times, start the animation, and nothing would happen, until the 4th/5th attempt. This took so long, i almost ran out of time on my levequest that was half way done before the lag started.
The amount of time between gathering attempt was longer than swiftcasts duration.

So, in short, if the lag ur suffering from is similar, the game wont register an action after a prior action, until enough time passes.

Lastly, also semi unrelated, at the end of a macro, i have it repeat the same /action multiple times. such as;

each line is roughly one tenth of a second. So if i was roughly .3s too quick to press the macro, the 4th or 5th line should cast the spell. This isnt directly related to ur question, but it may help in other scenarios.

What does your macro look like? In essence the /ac Raise <t> <wait.1> should be the first line in your macro since each line queues individually, text following that if you so desire. If you have the text first then the raise and you are hitting that macro repeatedly the raise will never go off until you give it enough time.

That being said I personally do not use macros for raising because of these issues. The only healing macros I use are for ground targeted skills such as asylum or sacred soil.

by the way, macro lag is a legit thing. that's why most players will minimize exactly which skills are macro because of the input lag that comes from using them.

that, topped with the fact that the american ISP providers are having ping issues.
