    Moogle Treasure Trove Event Suggestions

    Hi, I'm new here, so, hopefully, I have the right place. A brief thank you to those who designed the System Menu in-game, as it made it much easier to find it.

    I looked around and couldn't find these suggestions in the forum, so...I thought I'd post what I'd like to see in future Moogle Treasure Trove events before the current one went away.

    Firstly, could we please go back to giving everyone a flat rate of five moogle tomestones in PvP? Or, at the very least, always giving five tomestones minimum for participating? I feel like the current system just punishes "losers" more than it really needs to, and winning is...not always something you can really control in PvP, no matter how good you are at it as an individual. And three tomestones for something that can go up to twenty minutes in length just doesn't seem worth the time compared to some other options. Between that and worrying that the change will create a saltier environment (some people already hate losing, so I can't imagine this change makes that better), I have had zero motivation to do PvP for the duration of this event, and thus never did it.

    Secondly, could we please make the unique accessory (currently the Namazu Earring, but, you know, that one earring or choker) cheaper in tomestone cost? Everyone I have talked to generally agrees that the price is just too high for them. This issue gets compounded when you want to grind for the accessory on alts, and I think this is at least one way to make this event alt-friendlier. It would also be nice to eventually have these accessories available elsewhere, even if it were only on the Mogstation a year later like with other events.

    Thanks to all who have looked and commented so far. Just wanted to clarify on one point and comment on another:

    1. In my original post, I mentioned a flat rate or a minimum of 5 tomestones. I'm open to the idea of winning teams getting more tomestones (let's say 7 as an example, because the difference is 2 now) as long as the minimum for participating is 5. It's not my favorite solution, but I know I'm not a competitive player and it's at least a valid option that would cause me to consider PvP for farming again. To put my suggestion in better perspective, a good run of Castrum Meridianum runs about 25 minutes and you get 7 tomestones from that. So, yeah, 3 tomestones for matches that typically run 20 minutes is not a good deal in comparison.

    2. Some people have suggested including more rewards that aren't mounts like dances, emotes, and hairstyles. Sure! That's a neat idea too, as long as they're reasonably priced (100 tomestones for anything is just too much!).

    I'd love to see them include some of the craft based dances/emotes and not just mounts.

    Interesting idea.
    I also think instead of lowering the reward for losing they could increase the reward for winning.

    Nope. Giving equal tomes for losing takes away the incentive to win. This results in people not trying in order to throw matches so they end faster.
