Class Battle Actions don't always work

I'm at my wits end and need help

For the past month when fighting in-game, my keys don't always work. I can actively see that I am pressing an attack on my hotbar but nothing happens and my character just stands there auto attacking. This seems to happen randomly. Sometimes I will be unable to attack for up to 30 seconds. There are no issues with lag as far as I am aware. My character is able to move around and nothing is freezing or rubber banding. Below are the fixes I have tried but nothing seems to work.

-Allowed FFXIV complete access past firewall
-Checked that keyboard was functional
-Reinstalled game
-Updated all drivers for OS and GPU
-Tested internet connection, this does not happen on any other computer in household

Has anybody else had this issue or know how to fix it?

I see this happen regularly and find it aggravating as well. I did some research on it and the short answer is: This is an issue with how the FF14 client throttles sent commands to the server.

It's not going to get fixed unless SQEX does a rewrite of the FF14 client to enforce ability queuing beyond 0.5 seconds before the recast timer ends, or removes the throttling done by the client.

For end user workarounds:
-I recommend not trying to hit a new button more than 0.5 seconds (half a second) before the recast timer. For off-global abilities you're mostly SOL, just cast on next recast.
-Also, if you are using macros, even the 0.5 second before recast ability queuing doesn't happen.

My wild guess is this has to do with cost concerns as SQEX probably pays for bandwidth at their server hosting, and removing these limitations would result in a lot more data transferred by the client to the server, with mostly redundant commands. So there's probably not much motivation for SQEX to resolve this.
