The only time I run out of gil is when I'm doing housing. I decorate people's homes, sometimes paying for pieces out of pocket, and when I'm not doing that? It just sort of piles up. I can't imagine feeling strapped for gil the way some people say they are, and I don't even do endgame crafting.

    Sinks made of gil, obviously.

But in all seriousness, gil sink mounts (more than one maybe?) were announced during the Live Letter. The only one we have solid confirmation of is the Namazu beast tribe mount, but it's completely gold and shoots gold coins out from it.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

I mostly make money by desynthing dungeon loot and selling it, along with whatever my retainers bring back from ventures, on the MB. I'm not super-rich, but I'm usually sitting at around 30 million with no real effort.

Pretty much the same for myself. Couple that with dailies, everything kinda adds up. Although quite recently I've almost completely stopped crafting and been working on that coffee biscuit leve on Crystarium. They rack up decent amount of gil for such a small effort, so I expect I'll have more freedom in spending Spending poorly & lack of self control is what makes us poor at the end of the day.

To anyone struggling to have more than 1-2 mil at a time:

    - Two level 80 battle retainers can bring 15-20k Gil / hour when you pick the right material. Ventures are by far the best use of GC seals assuming you don't already have too many venture coins. Even better if you have more than two retainers. (1 min each time, 40k+ Gil / day)
    - Leveling roulette every day as adventurer in need. Buy crafting mats with uncapped tomes from the tome vendor. Try other roulettes for more Gil. (15 min, 30k Gil / day)
    - Gather a zonureskin map every day. (2 min, 25k Gil /day)
    - 6 cookie levequests per day. You can collect a map while you get coffee beans. (20 min, 50-100k per day depending on NQ/HQ)
    - Dwarf beast tribe dailies, buy 3 of the rare crafting mat. (5 min, 20k Gil / day)

Check prices and make your own plan. It takes minimal effort to make at least 100k per day at level 80. You'll have at least 20 mil by the time Endwalker launches.

You should also look on how you spent gil.

Do you really need that mount/ hairstyle/ glamour/ crafted gear at patch day?
Can't you wait 1-2 weeks when the price dropped by 50-90%?
If you want to buy something expensive, use the world travel system and check the other Marketboards.

Don't buy something when everyone else is buying it.
Like, don't buy treasure maps on the weekend.
Don't buy materia when new gear is available.
Don't buy buff food and potions on reset day.

Just think a bit about your spending and be more strict with yourself especially when you know that you are not good with handling money.
