My sub is set to expire in two days so this will be my last post most likely. I canceled my sub because of the bots ruining crafting. So congratulations! You win guys. I'm out. Crafting was my last refuge of fun in a game I've been playing for 6+ years where frankly the content has been lacking elsewhere lately and I'm just finding it hard to care anymore. Square if you're reading this you really need to get a handle on the situation with the bots and the crafting situation. The MB is full of them and it's impossible to compete with a script that can run 24/7 and update prices every 15-30 minutes on the dot.

To everyone, who are actually real people I've played with in the past thanks for the memories. You will be missed. I'll keep an eye out on the game in the future. Perhaps things will improve and I'll be back. If not it's been wonderful even if I've been more on the quiet side you guys being there was a comfort. Peace!

If the thread gets a sufficient amount of attraction from the player base then it is more likely to get noticed by those that can make a change on the matter.

I'd bump this thread for eternity if it meant SE investing more resources and budget into anti-bot measures beyond a 'dedicated team'.

Not to mention it beats the typical nonsense that has been floating around from time to time

It's a bit unfortunate that with crafting being as niche as it is, most people tend to just view the bot takeover as a net positive as it means they can get the latest gear at scarcely higher then NPC vendor prices.

Even the botters seem to realize how little profit they're actually getting from crafting though, as more and more of them are starting to focus on treasure maps instead now.

Dude if crafting was your last refuge of fun in FF14 I promise you it was more of a you situation then bots being your breaking point. Find me an MMO where bots do not run the entire market. Also how do you prove it?

Only thing developers listen to is verifiable evidence. Download OBS and create a Youtube video detailing the bots and how they do it. Japanese developers are super sensitive to bad press and will fix it.

Being blunt, this has been an issue raised countless upon countless of times in huge megathreads before over several years and expansions.
Threads of people saying they're leaving due to bots aren't going to make Square take anymore action than any of the much bigger threads have in the past.

Not to mention these kinds of 'farewell, so long' threads barely break 100 posts even in the most popular of them and the devs much preferring megathreads rather than tons of small threads, these threads are effectively tantamount to nothing of worth as far as attention from the devs.
