    Max server communities

With the servers recently being merged, myself and others thought it would help with bolstering the community and maybe we could get things done. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. Even though there's no room left on our server it's still like pulling teeth to complete any of the Artifact or Final job quests. To those who've been playing a while and have maxed these jobs long ago, or were able to complete them during the first week of their release this isn't a problem. But as the rest of us try to catch up, we find ourselves unable to find aid.

I understand that this is a common problem with many MMO's, but in those I've played it's unheard of in a maxed world. I'm sure the request has been made, and pleas have been sent out to SE but I thought I'd try as well. Content doesn't need to be extremely easy so one person can blow through it as quickly as possible, but it would be nice to be able to complete an AF set without standing in lag-hell Ul'dah for weeks looking for an AV run before being able to complete the said set because you can only get a handful of people.

Maybe instead of requiring 8 people to get into the instance and complete it, perhaps scale the difficulty based on the amount of players in the party.
So, Joe and Sam are recent 50's. They're in a small linkshell that only has two other 50's in it. The four of them go in together and are able to complete the AF sets for Joe and Sam vs the aforementioned standing in Ul'dah not getting anything done.

I apologize if this is a repeat thread, I did try to find a way to solve the problem... although I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with it. The game has potential, no one wants to see it wasted or ruined by not being able to complete content.

The patch coming later this week will allow you to enter the new dungeons, Aurum Vale and Cutter's Cry, with only 4 people. It should make it a lot easier to get people together for them.

They should of done this in the first place.

If you're not hardcore and get everything on day 1, you're very much out of luck and it takes a long time to get the rest done, while I see constant shouts for Af, its always usually 1/8 for ages and ages and ages.

Very few people like to "help out" on this game, the community is very restricted and everything is "ls onry".

SE dont seem to see this though.

Agreed... Why would they make a dungeon that requires 8 people knowing that they will make it only require 4 in the next six weeks

I just don't think the content difficulty should "scale" based on your party size... I am not a big fan of scaling content

i think in 2.0 were gonna be one big world in the way of the content finder im guess, the screen shot of 2.0 fighting the chimera i see a name@server over a characters head. so that is a way of being maxed out.

Honestly, I'm okay with a content finder as long as it's similar to party search in that you flag up for quests/raids you want to do and then people forming groups can ask you or you can ask people with their flags up.

I will not be okay with a content finder if it autogroups your by making you fill up slots with healer/tank/dps/support. Also no teleporting to instances, that completely breaks the entire immersion of the game.

Tanks are the earth. Healers are the sun. DPS are the asteroids bouncing around the universe asking if anyone saw how they wiped out those dinosaurs.

How have you been trying to find groups? I see shouts all the time and join up with random people to help them out. A couple of my LS's have done runs for different people in the last week too. It's actually funny when someone asks for help, suddenly a similar message hits like 4 of my LS at once so how can I say no

But yeah, with the patch you should have an easier time finding 3 others to go with you to go in and get the boxes so that should help.
