You've been fortunate.
For years I've been wrestling with already floated items snapping to something I just moved / put up : (
New to you. Not new to me. I've been floating stuff for years as well and it's been a frequently headache as I pass a shelf under other floating items to place a new one and it picks them all up. It's especially annoying if I was using a loft to do the floating.
So, what's the general consensus? Is it pretty much as it was before?
Don't want to risk breaking my house.
There seems to be some shenanigans happening with wall item placement. If you float stuff like windows or paintings, especially backwards, you may run into difficulties. I tried to make a vanity with the kan-e-sana painting flipped around and with the new collision changes it just snaps to the wall, so I have to place the vanity in a corner and let the painting float rather than have it against the wall like I wanted it to be (and had it once, in an old build).
World might burn. Heaven might fall. Candy abides.
