RP Party finders being reported AGAIN without so much as a reason.

I just do not get why rpers just do not use the discord method. Post a vague link in PF with a link to discord for details. Works for RMT.

Sometimes I wonder if these are being reported by people who see the RP advertisement, go to the venue as described, and THEN report the advertisement, which is why the GM is so vague and secretive about it. It's still a shitty form of trolling, but it's the only explanation I can think about why some RP venues are reported and others are not.

There's a reason I put on the /busy tag whenever I go to the Quicksand on my Balmung alts - I get unsolicited tells otherwise. If that's what happens when someone enters one of the RP venues being advertised, then yeah, that's not cool.

You know, I've got alts on Balmung who hang around the Quicksands (since the Inn room is right there), and I have never received an unsolicited tell over the 6+ years I've been playing. How truly unlucky you must be.

They're manipulating the optics of the situation by concealing incriminating details about the venue to 'protect' it. The dalliance thing is probably a red herring and totally irrelevant to why they were actioned.

The OP is associated with a venue located in the lavender beds, on mateus, open thursdays (the night this was posted). Some of the other people posting in this thread are also employees of that same venue.

Said venue has a carrd that openly details and prices ERP services. This is very likely the carrd that was linked in the PF, and very likely what they were actioned for.

Even if it's not that venue, the OP is openly involved in selling ERP services for a number of organizations so it's not a stretch to believe whatever this venue was wasn't the most upstanding place.

There's also a lot of players who use the likes of Reddit, Discord and Twitter to brag about reporting anyone they happen to disagree with, even if it isn't an actionable offense.

If it obstruct party finder in any way please look what I say PARTY finder... Party finder means looking for people to do X content inside the game that is pvp/pve based... that is why it is reportable, and I don't see why GM's should receive punishment for doing their job.

Obviously people is fuming about this, as it is now pointed out that it is not needed, again find other means to get your message out, use the Fellowship thing, it is actually quite usefull and those interested, will go there and find whatever Fellowship that may seem interesting and when it get more wide out it goes by tongues as well.

Some of the PvP ones work really really well and more... especially to get a message out about a player event or game event.

They cleared that one up. It's acceptable usage of the Party Finder. Fellowship can be okay for making communities and recruiting people, it's terrible for events. PF is the best tool for events in game. Heck the GM the OP showed says it's fine, but made reference to keeping it age appropriate and that seems to be what where the issue is.

The problem here seems to be more to do with 18+ advertisements. That said, they've never made it explicitly clear, just something we've used the power of deduction to kind of work out. But if the usage of "Dalliance" really is innocent and it wasn't advertising 18+ RP, then it does raise other concerns

If people still get reported for it, then it is because it contain letters/art or whatever that hints towards above 18 activity, and I am fine with that people get booted for that, because it does NOT belong for the masses to see, whatever people do in private, they can do in private... and that is what there is to say about that, however the encounter in private can be reported though as well.

Also, wearing the RP tag ingame... also is the sign for it by the community, that his is the naughty thing, so using it in of or just RP... could technially be enough to get reported as well.

Also if you are a roleplayer, then it make no sense, if you use any shorthand at all in an advert or the likes, it would make little to no sense at all.

Are you seriously suggesting that just because someone uses the RP tag, means they are exclusively advertising for erp? Who hurt you? Was you stung as a child? My goodness the ignorance in this comment is just so astounding that I half considered not even responding at all.
