BLM melding help for a return player

I'm a recently returned player who's just finished crafting her exarchic set of gear for BLM. I really would appreciate some guidance on my melds - preferably before I mess it up

I was told to aim for around 3500 SS, then crit = dh. I can't seem to get to 3500 SS. The most I could manage was 3269. I haven't really started bozja yet, so maybe that will help.

Don't take my advice like if it was gold or anything.
But if you're a returning player and playing with crafted Gear, knowing your rotation will be far more important than stats.

The difference between a full SS and a Crit build should be below 3%.

Simply put, don't look at your stats or DPS, it won't matter in the content you aim to play.

Are you planning to learn the current savage raids? Outside of this context, it's not worth the materia/gil costs of overmelding your gear at all. And if you are in that context, it's not worth the materia/gil costs of overmelding your gear at this time because we're almost to the point that weekly lockouts will be lifted. Overall gear and fight choreography among people you play with are better than the first few weeks, and Savage will soon be farmable, so you'll be upgrading to Cryptlurker and Edenmorn gear imminently.

Max overmelds on crafted gear are really only necessary for competitive first week savage clears, so at this point your gil will bring you more happiness spent elsewhere.
