I'm sorry for my super aggression.
I'm sorry for my super aggression.
I'd have been [i]ultra[/i sympathetic and I'd probably have been this person. I did the same thing for my free fantasia - tried to change my appearance, didn't (because I neglected to look to the right of my screen, I'm massive dumb), logged in because I thought maybe it would lead me into a separate screen? I realized what I'd done wrong, paid for another fantasia, and started clicking at things like a madman till I got where I wanted. It's super intuitive, just gotta pay attention.
If he'd been way more open about his own mistake, I'd have been the first to respond and ask if I could gift one to him - it happened to me and it sucks.

?...What demand? But whatever, if this means you haven't given up on FFXIV over this, I would be happy to hear that.
Actually Playstation Users can, there is an internet browser you can open, and at the same time while playing FFXIV. (The BROWSER, not the Youtube app just to be clear)I'm going to make one more "final" post since I had to come back for this.
Listen, I had strong self-interest in finding a way to edit my appearance. I wanted to succeed. I tried. I really did. Though I did not rush off to YouTube or Google, should that have really been the expectation? PlayStation users can't do that. I tried my best to edit my appearance, and ended up thinking it was on the "next" screen. In this instance, at this moment, I lacked the perception and intuition necessary that 99.999% of the population seems to have. Is it my fault that I'm not able to understand it? Can I be blamed and held accountable for my inability to figure it out?
Someone said its like dropping a drink when someone hands ones to you and then demanding they give you another. NO! This analogy is wrong. I was _unable_ to hold the drink. I didn't drop it. The drink just fell.
And whether this new analogy is right or wrong, this is the reason why I got so upset. I was unable to understand how to edit my character, and when I asked in-game support for help and a new Fantasia, they looked at me and saw an idiot rather than me for what I was. If I'm so stupid that I can't figure out how to edit my appearance then I should pay them for my stupidity. That is how it felt. Paying someone compensation for being stupid would only prove that I am stupid. True or not, do I really need that reinforcement?
I feel bad for every handicapped person who ever got told they have to pay up for their unfortunate inability.
I don't enjoy coming on here and publicly telling everyone that I'm defective. In that moment there was nothing more I could do about it. I tried. I absolutely tried my best to understand it. I didn't want to click that checkmark button, but I felt I had no other choice. It was my last option.
Should it be expected?...maybe not, but its something you could have looked at. Trying all your options. If you also had a computer or a Smartphone with internet access you could have done that too. Just naming options.
Im gonna call the Analogy wrong cause it doesn't really make sense, but if I understand it correctly...its still kinda wrong mate. Trying to avoid being a broken record, Ill say that you perhaps got so upset that you're kinda creating these weird analogies that SE is calling you stupid, or that you simply trying again but buying a new Fantasia makes you stupid. Just...stop it. You are just hurting yourself, and putting yourself down and beating yourself up over it at this point.
You made a mistake. Just either shrug it off and enjoy the game, or just buy the Fantasia and try again. This time, you will know what to do and not make the same mistake.
