I think it's due to a scene in the MSQ of the current patch. It would be amusing if she actually do get a new job, and I don't think it'll be too far fetched either, since new jobs don't necessarily have to have their cause revealed in a previous patch.

While it seems unlikely she'll get a new job right now, I do feel it's a bit of a raw deal for her. I mean, she's the one who actually vocally expressed boredom and frustration for being stuck where she was and yet Alphinaud gets a new job but she doesn't? Booooo...

In short, Alphi and Alis were the only two who remained practically unchanged for the entire expansion, whereas all other Scions were revamped in some manner with either costumes and/or class-changes - hence she looked at the other three in the group and bewailed a lack of personal development, and why Alphinaud's response was that "the others had the more pressing need. Rest assured, our time will come". Well, wouldn't you know who won the pony? Ali gets a snazzy new look and Alphinaud is now a Sage, whereas the other three (given they were updated for SHB) will likely remain as they are. It may also be a slight reference to the noticeable lack of growth-spurt given they're still teenage elf-midgets, and have been since, like, forever at this point.

It's not a raw deal at all. Alis looks great and the Scion's composition is perfectly setup for the Trust system. No doubt any Scions surviving the expansion are ripe for further (costume/class/feature) changes in the future, but as of right now, all of them will have had a relatively recent update of some description and our latest cat-boy edition is already a cut above how he appeared in the CT questline. We'll be gaining another one seeing as Mini-filia's trust participation will be restricted to the first-dungeons, so I'm curious to see if a certain dour, smarmy, lance-wielding elf-boy will be updated in some way, or if he'll look exactly like he did in his playable quest-line portion.

The Scions' story should end with 6.0. They either die or retire or move on with their lives. After 6.0, I want to go on new adventures in new continents with a brand new cast.

I feel you on this one, but unfortunately for both of us I think most of them are going to be around for the duration of the game.

She should go WARRIOR and her pathetic brother can switch to PLD.
