[Poll] Viera & Hrothgar: Hats or Feet?

Which is more important to you in regards to glamour and customization? Do you need shoes to bring an outfit together, or do you feel that you're never fully dressed without a hat?

Imagine an alternate timeline where in addition to their more "unique" head shapes, Viera and Hrothgar had more animalistic/digitigrade feet as they did in their source games (see below). However, due to time constraints, the devs could only allocate resources to fitting hats or footwear to accommodate them. Which would you rather have?

• Access to all headgear (and potentially hairstyles), but footwear is widely unavailable aside from a handful of race-specific options due to their unique feet.
• Access to all footwear, but headgear and hairstyles are severely limited (as it is currently).

If I could choose between Hats and Digitgrade feet.....Id go for the feet.
As weird as that sounds, I think its more weird to not give the Viera their original weird feet, and that a Beast Race is Plantigrade. I mean it works just fine...but if I had the ability and option, Id like Digitigrade.

Definitely hats because they can heavily influence a character's looks way more than feet, something that many people dont even notice much.

Plus as a furry I prefer modern anthropomorphic design that fits into modern clothing due to having a pretty normal proportions and realistic body, compared to a digitgrade which goes more into unrealistic design but more importantly devs dont really bother creating unique appearances solely for those less realistic designs which leads to some pretty bad results if you end up playing a digitgrade race.

Beast feet would have been nice. But I can see the fun in selling that to the community....

Of course full featured hats and full featured boots while having unique face shapes and unique feet shapes would be most preferred, but if I was giving my honest order of priority I'd rather have beast feet than more hats and I'd probably rather have limited shoes and beast feet over full shoe selection.

I'm happy with what I have but It would be neat to see the restrictions loosen, of course (why would I want a less feature complete race...? lol).

It would require just a little more effort, but you can make Footgear designs for Digitigrade feet.
Just like you can make Hat and Helmet designs for Animal People with Snouts

Personally, as someone who grew up with FFXII and am a huge fan of Fran, I'd love if Viera in FFXIV had their original animal feet and claws again. So, my answer is I'd prefer if Viera/Hrothgar had the animal feet and limited/custom footwear, but little to no headgear.

Well, in reality if they did do those kind of feet, there would be no footgear, and still no headgear shown. But for the sake of your scenario, I'd rather have it as is now*, with more headgear. I prefer human feet on viera, they just need to add more heels along the lines of the viera racial gear. Hrothgar would most definitely look better with those kind of feet, the human feet do look odd on them, however.

Ugh, such a hard thing to choose, mate!

If by your first example, we'd get more than just 01 model with the feet (e.g. Viera having more than just the initial shoes), then I'd choose hats. Else, I'd choose the footwear because I think they're really cool and silhouette defining!
