Gun Baghnakhs, why must you torment us so?

Please give us gun-baghnakhs for Monks. These are by far the best pieces I've seen, and it's such a shame that we can only live vicariously through the boss characters who get to use them.

Surely there must be some way to model a weapon held in the hands, that put the wrist gun/blade back along the forearm.

For those who don't know what these are, here is a refresher image. Annia of Ghimlyt Dark uses them as well.

The Vega Knuckles (FFXIII crossover mnk weapons based off of Sazh's guns from FFXIII) are kinda like gunknucks and prolly the closest you're going to get for the moment. They even cock like a gun when you unsheathe them!

You might get the model with a gun barrel on it, but that isn't going to suddenly change monk's skill set so they can shoot bullets out of it.

Would you rather be tormented by not having them, or being tormented by having them and not being able to use them? Unless we get a new class that actually uses them by design, those are your only two options for monk.
