Oh how dare you, you cant expect ppl to gear up for anything, its just a nuisance for new players! xD
I still say we need an absolute min ilvl on everything... ppl dont learn the gentle way and cheat with an cheep ring - since they overlevel so fast nowadays its even easier to just tack on a 300+ ring on shire stuff and be good lol
But tbf, i hate that "keep NPC alive even if he wants desperately to die" BS as you cant even target em properly...

Ah, yes I remember that quest. What a royal pain the the butt!
The boss is no problemo for me but keeping the moronic NPC alive was such a struggle.
I ended up running like an idiot just hoping the voids would spawn away from her.
There is nothing I hate more in video games than NPCs with crap AI I need to protect. Reminds me of the dumb girl in Far Cry that always hopped in front of my rifle just when I was about to fire lol.

I did it first time in full Shire gear and don’t remember it being challenging, but I remember doing the ninja one with my levelling gear, it being a nightmare, then being really easy with the shire gear.
I think they’re tuned for 60 then 70 dungeon gear, and a lot of people are taking them on in the previous expansions gear.

Please learn to actually follow what the game says to do, play your job correctly, and get proper gear for the level of content you are attempting to do, before blaming the game for your own inability to do the above.
The lv.60 quest can be tricky at first but is by no means impossible, especially if you're playing on Baby's First MMO difficulty versus the regular version.
Hmm. The post format and the Pokemon themed name seems rather familiar. Suppose the guy must have gotten banned from the xiv subreddit itself and not just the discord for his constant spam.

Yeah think I've seen them in a few XIV facebook groups as well with eerily similar nonsense posts.
Well like someone pointed out this is more than likely a troll but for people who might be having a similar issue, I had the same in some lvl job 60 quests and that is because lvl 50 gear is absolutely too weak for the lvl 60 class quests making them impossible when you have to face boss npcs, which happens often since by the time you are 60 you might just be arriving at heavensward considering how high the xp rates are so you are technically not ready for them gear wise and you can’t access lvl 60 gear vendor till the end of heavensward. (And new players won’t have the Gil to buy 60 gear)
The tryhard elitist is the person who is going to finish their 5 pieces on this created to be beaten """"challenge"""" and then complaint that the baby, slower or less dexterous person are a problem which not only is toxic but indirectly implies that doing this basic created to be beaten task faster is an """achievement""" of """great skill""" which helps to falsely boost the elitist's self worth as that is their true motive, if challenge was truly their desire they would relish in the chance to do more than the rest.
The healthy person on the other hand will either let people finish their part or assist them for their self worth does not depend on solving basic puzzles created to be beaten, aka as a video game.
There is a rather glaring disparity in the gear requirements for the level 60 RDM/SAM quests vs. the other level 60 job quests; the reason being that when they released the "normal" ilvl at that point in the game's life was much higher then it was for the other jobs due to level 60 vendor gear being available and what not. The same also applies to the level 60 introductory quests for some of the SB questlines like WAR as well as the level 70 DNC/GNB (Which expect you to be in the ShB level 70 gear at minimum).
I was rather caught off-guard by how badly the SAM quest floored me when I tried jumping into it immediately after hitting 60 like I did with all of the other jobs, but simply upgrading to shire gear fixed that.
