Remove Gender lock/race locked hair styles

I would like to suggest removing gender/race locks on hairstyles.

Glam is a MASSIVE part of FF14 and creating a character you love. Now we all now we won't ever get thicc thighs (sadly) so I'd like to focus on another Part of of character glam, which is HAIRSTYLES. Picking a hairstyle that fits your current setup or simply because you feel like a hairstyle change.

I love my female au'ra (best race), absolutely the cutest bestest thing and no one could convince me otherwise, however recently on my ALT character, I've recently changed to a female miqote, she's pretty cute, Im very happy with her but there is particularly one hairstyle that femqotes get and I adore it. (First row, 3rd hairstyle).

I'd love to be able to use that hair on my fem'ra.

Viera also have some really groovy hairstyles, particularly the short hair with the side braid. Male Au'ra have that messy ponytail with bangs.


tl:dr 14 end game is glam, glam involves hair, please unlock hair from all genders and races.

I don't think it's just a matter of "unlocking" it. It seems like they just have a set number of hairstyle slots per character design and then hairstyle models were assigned to those slots, rather than each style being an independent thing that is locked or unlocked for each character.

The later slots all have the same hairstyle in the spots for the corresponding race, so it seems like one style accessed by everyone, but they're still unique per character - most obviously on Miqo'te where the ears are programmed as part of the hairstyle and some pieces need to be modified.

yeah I was thinking that too, I'd still love more hair, but I guess that's also the wish of any Viera player as well
