As I said I am not a very logically constant person. Granted it is a video game and generally my online interactions do not align with how I am outside the game. Though if you do not mind care to explain? I do not think it is all over the place per-se though. At least in a game if I get reprimanded for something generally I stop if not I feel it is open game. For the most part I do not try to overthink how the person behind the character would react cause if I did I would try to account for every variable like I do irl and I would spend less time playing and more time worrying how I impact others.

Overall a pretty black and white person either something is allowed or not. I generally do not see shades of grey even irl. Though I do not see myself as a nice person either, personally I do not think anyone is truly a nice person but that is a topic for another day.:P

I guess I am just one if those I do what I want when it comes to online interactions and video games.

Votekicking someone for being slow--if they're not trolling, that is--is just mindblowing to me. Like, damn, chill out a bit.
This actually goes hand-in-hand with that other thread about the Three Strikes rule, how this is really only an NA problem, not so much EU or JP. And there's a reason for that.

Myeah, toss on an Arm's Length and stay nearby (if I'm tanking). A single AoE will grab everything off the DPS and two will cement the hate on me (they also kinda made this easier for me as now the mobs are closely stacked together and not spread out).
I genuinely do not understand why some tanks would just willingly let a DPS and/or healer KO because they pulled (it's a toxic attitude to have and definitely deserves a kick for griefing). The tanks primary job is holding hate and using defensive CD's, not holding the party hostage and being a party dictator (if they want to be a team leader, then they should act like one).

Nah the issue us that a lot of DF people are the opposite, they don't try hard enough.

You can try to say that but no one will feel embarrassed for putting in effort in something they like
Not really. Being a tryhard is taking DF seriously, to the point of kicking players who don't match their expectations just to waste more time waiting for a replacement because they can't control their emotions. I'm glad I've never run into any of them, and at this point, I suspect they only live/exist on forums.
And don't start with your l33t skills please. We all w2w or holy the hell out dungeons on these forums. You're nothing special.

Yeah, exactly. Personally, I prefer to see others play optimally. I give it my all, so I feel that others should do the same. Even so, when one queues through the DF it's impossible to know who or what you are going to get grouped with. If anyone goes in expecting wall to wall pulls, expertly performed rotations and a clear speed the Flash would be proud of then they are setting themselves up to be let down hard, because not every player is going to be of that caliber. The DF is full of roulettes, and that doesn't apply just to a random instances. It also gives you random people to deal with. So...some need take what they are given and deal with it...within reason, of course. Trolling, afks and d/cs are understandable vote kicking scenarios. At the end of the day, sometimes things just aren't going to go smoothly. Welcome to the world of Duty Finder.

All I want from people is an honest effort. I don't expect perfection, I don't expect a speed run, I just expect people to put in some level of effort and some basic, bare minimum knowledge of the job they're playing.

And honestly, it's rare to not get that much. Every now and then I'll see a dps that doesn't aoe or a healer that obviously isn't paying attention etc, but the vast majority of my DF experiences are okay at the very worst. The bad apples do stand out when I get them but I fend them to be rare.

Dps also deserve to be KICKED turn about is fair play. If you are dps then you are not the tank and it is not your job to take damage intended for the tank.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!

Damage intended for the tank- what?

Damage is intended for everyone, it's intended to kill... And the tank's job is to make sure the damage is redirected to them because they have the health to survive it longer and the tools to mitigate...
Honestly? As long as they don't die, DPS and healer hp during pulls might as well be some sort of shield for the tank as well.

If the healer or a DPS take damage during a pull and survive it, it means it's going to be less damage on the tank that the healer will have to do and therefore more time to deal damage. More time to deal damage means less to heal because the mobs will be alive to hurt the tank for a shorter time, and that also means faster pulls and therefore a faster duty. And if on top of that the DPS use Arm's Length? More mitigation, that's just great.
