Something else that I've thought of a few times- but why they just gave everyone base crayon complexions - Changing details with every face- some faces come with already rosy cheeks/noses/dark eye circles, sunkissed look, scars, heavy veins, frown, wrinkles, etc. or any sort of or pre-drawn details aside from the given miqot'e stripes. The detail and style of the characters in FFXII would've benefitted XIV CC. I get it that it was a different team and artist, but basically what I mean is like the XIV CC is so basic, and I think it would've been a big help to just add the detail to all characters like what was done in XII but instead we get stale white walls in an off- putting white room, no curtains, boring furniture- a better analogy would be like picking from a boring lunch menu but everything looks good because you're hungry, but in the end you're not satisfied with the meal. They could definitely overhaul the CC to some degree IF they wanted to- it would sell fantasia's for sure, but likely won't use the resources (people and time and money) to do so. I think if more people were asking for these changes something *might* happen eventually? I want all of these changes. I want most of all Ashelia's outfit and more veteran rewards.

I would personally be fine if they stopped adding in hairstyles to do a complete overhaul of character creation, add new faces and fix the new races headpieces. Perhaps they are just waiting on 7.0 for the engine update to improve the character creation.

IIRC we were told the overhaul is far enough out not to be expecting it at any point.
With this in mind getting our hearts set on 7.0 is probably dangerous and just voluntarily courting disappointment.
Eh, I don't know.
Blizzard were asked for update their character creator in WoW for years and initially acted very dismissive regarding the issue. Eventually they caved in and did it not once but twice. Other MMO's have also recently upgraded their graphical capabilities and character customisation. We might not see it happen in FFXIV with 6.0, though 7.0 is...three years away, roughly. That's a pretty long time, especially if the likes of Blue Protocol and Pantheon manage to appeal to a portion of FFXIV fans.

Fair point.Eh, I don't know.

And I agree.
But if they're gonna be dismissive about a timetable it's not really a good idea for us to go "7.0 let's go!"
We can't decide their timetable for them (other than unsubbing lol you're right there).

I'm tired of hairstyles honestly! I keep asking myself when they add more can't you do anything else cosmetic wise beside hair? I'm all for an overhaul just seem to fall deaf ears after so many years of typical response it to hard for (insert reason here)!

Maybe for now they can just add rogue to start options
Honestly even max size breasts aren't all that crazy in this game considering the races that have the larger chests are also the larger framed races like roes/highlanders etc. A butt slider of similar ranges I don't think would be 'over sexualization' any more than what we have now.
On a technical level I don't know if it's feasible for them to add a butt slider though. Either way, it would be nice to see options expanded regardless of if that particular request can be fulfilled. Give highlander men eyebrows you cowards.
