I agree. I'm tired of looking like this almost all of the time.
However, if it's done right you can barely tell unless you zoom way in on a character's face. The right combination of skin, hair and faces can mask it well enough.

All they really need to do is make the bums bigger on the pant models. It's doable - Yoko Taro made sure of it. Same goes for the chest on tunic models.Honestly even max size breasts aren't all that crazy in this game considering the races that have the larger chests are also the larger framed races like roes/highlanders etc. A butt slider of similar ranges I don't think would be 'over sexualization' any more than what we have now.
On a technical level I don't know if it's feasible for them to add a butt slider though. Either way, it would be nice to see options expanded regardless of if that particular request can be fulfilled. Give highlander men eyebrows you cowards.
I doubt sliders would happen with the current technology, because they would have to do something that would affect every piece of gear out there, and I don't think such "structure" exists, unless it's some artifact code from 1.0.Honestly even max size breasts aren't all that crazy in this game considering the races that have the larger chests are also the larger framed races like roes/highlanders etc. A butt slider of similar ranges I don't think would be 'over sexualization' any more than what we have now.

I actually think that the models are pretty fine as they are aging quite well... But there are two things that the models really need:
01) Upscale of textures. I said once, and now again, it's kinda disappointing that we have such blurry mess of textures! How they can even think about releasing a PS5 client with these standards?
02) Variety of available features. Since sliders is something we're not even sure we can get someday, they got to add more options. How only 04 faces for most races is okay? Between adding new options and separating old ones (e.g. Au Ra horns), there's a lot they can tinker to make impactful additions for little modelling effort.

I agree with updated textures, many of the faces in character creator just look like the creepy mannequin faces right before they're painted to look more humanI doubt sliders would happen with the current technology, because they would have to do something that would affect every piece of gear out there, and I don't think such "structure" exists, unless it's some artifact code from 1.0.

Came across this thread. There's been others in the past asking for the character creator to be updated and it's time SE did it. Other threads talking about it that I found below:

Yes please ohhhhhhh make your fans happy SE pleeeeeeeeeeease

gonna throw in these suggestions.
body scars, more face scar options (especially large scars like burn scars, acid scars, etc), and for my fellow trans masc individuals and enbies: Top surgery scars. Our characters are going to battle and being hit with some nasty stuff (like Fire IV)- I think more scars would make sense.
more hair color options such as violet (more blue than purple. Violet also has a tiny bit of green in it), realistic shades of ginger, more browns, and true black.
More height options like shorter and taller. Maybe some races allow for even shorter than other races. Hyur could absolutely get taller at max for example. Glute and abs slider.
Possible new option: walk and run variants such as something different for lalafell than the waddle.
the rest is miqote focussed.
other options that could go a long ways: more ear types for miqote, tail patterning made independent from hair, new tail patterns added, more tail length variation (mainly, allowing for shorter), ear patterning made independent from hair, and a few ear patterning options. We could also get more feral for options like long pointy nails and paws for feet.
new tail option: extra extra fluffy. Maine coon levels of fluff.
I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90

I have wanted a better CC for years but I am unsure we will ever get, maybe in 8.0? I do not want anything ridiculous just maybe better options for body shape. I want my character to have some shape and I always say it but the 2b bottoms work great but it would be nice if you had more of your bottom covered over.
Maybe they could add more items that change shape but give a little more modesty. I feel that the characters look far to skinny with no shape.
We need eyebrows for the older races that do not look like something the 90s wants back. Makeup scars and a lot more in general, looking at XIV next to other games is really bad and it is something that needs fixing.

Could they give Au Ra proper tails...?
Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!
