Blue mage soccer, how does it work


I'm at Aether, occasionally I will pop pf to host people for a game. Ideally we could have a tournament in the future. I post here for people at other data centers to see.

I'm also trying to figure out how to play among us in ff14 using side quests. Let me know if you have any brilliant ideas.

The hard part is the honesty needed to run it, buuuuut I’d say:

1) Use gold saucer, with the mini games (like Crystal Striker) as the tasks, or alternatively talk to some NPC.
2) Agree upon some kind of buff (probably Blu spell) that has a long recast. When someone is buffed by it, they are “dead”.
3) Dead players simply change jobs to non Blu. (Self destruct would be awesome, but that wait time penalty.....)
4) Needs a GM to “run” the game, that acts as the “computer” assigning rolls, allowing the imposter to sabotage etc or players to report tasks done.
5) Aetheryte = vents
6) very likely no party play (map would ruin it)

Like Isshin said u are on the right track

Now to able to be blitzball u need to find a certified sage,there are alot of fake ones so do be careful.

then ask the sage to cast deflated balloon spell as shrinking spell even if u are a lalafell you would be little to big for a blitzball so shrinking spell is required.
this has to be cast 3 times a day for 10 years but if you follow the steps you will become a blitzball

Does it work on dead party members too? I'd think not, but I mean, some people could start selling themselves as balls if it did.

It's funny you point it out Vyrerus. In that tournament we had, ppl suggested in the aftermath discussion to have future top sponsor gain the privilege to put their "ball" into the game.
