I am confused. My encounters with the training dummy led me to believe that you can't practice positionals, since the dummy always turns to "face" you.

Ah, it does, indeed, not turn. Must be the way people position the dummies that led me to believe that -- not really much room to practice positionals as a Monk when the training dummies are placed against a wall. I noted just now (yeah, testing as 80 Monk) the dummies in the FC yard were actually moved away from that 'back wall', so that positionals could be practiced. Learn something new every day.

My old FC would have the dummies facing the wall/corner, so you will always face its back and sides.
