    Could be wrong as my knowledge on it is limited but the reason it's not based off animations is because of the connection between server to your computer. There's a lag. You can make it better, they can make it better, but we're not at the point of eliminating it. When Titan came out in 2.0 for some people the trial was literally impossible because dodging the slope and puddles being seemingly undoable for the player. Old, old example but Absolute Virtue was literally impossible in FFXI to clear because the seconds needed to react to it's mechanics with abilities were impossible to react to because of a similar delay. So yes, it's THAT hard to program if I'm correct on this.

    In short, may not like it but learn to read the cast bar or predict when it's about to happen with experience. You're not going to live long depending on the animations.

    This is actually one of the only things that blzzard did better when they created the game overwatch... In order to keep people from getting frustrated, they used a calculation that "Favors the shooter" so if YOU are not standing inside the animation on YOUR screen... you live. this means that OTHER people might see you STANDING in the mechanic and live, but thats because you're the one lagging and on your client you where not standing in the mechanic when it happened.
    I think that programming would be an improvement in this game.

    I don't know about that OP, most of the tells *are* visual and I've fully cleared the tier already.

    Could you be more specific as to which mechanics are giving you issues?

    You mentioned reading debuffs and according to your fflogs you're on the second phase of 12s so I assume you're talking about Intermediate Relativity and/or Advanced Relativity? Or are you referring to something else? I'm not looking to counter your points or debunk anything you have to say. But I'm wondering which mechanic you're referring to because I've noticed most of the mechanics are visual and if you tell me which mechanic is giving you issues I could probably tell you what visual to look out for without needing to read.

    You're right on the ball. I HATE having to look at my debuff page (Wyrms lament 2, HELLO WORLD, relativity) it makes my eyes hurt, it makes my head hurt...

    You could always enlarge them and place them in a spot of prominence on the UI. That's what I did and I've had no issues since.

    Ahhhh, yeah that'd do it. D: I'm sorry. If there is one huge glaring issue this game has, it's the accessibility options. Unfortunately at present that's the only real recourse you'll have unless SE takes your suggestion to heart or at the very least expands the accessibility options to be more inclusive.

    I figured. Best advice I could give for that is either:

    A) Do what Enla said and enlarge them. (Seriously, it's life changing).

    B) And/Or just practice memorizing the colors. "Ok, left to right is blue, green, purple" then just go from there.

    This would allow you to tell, at a glance, what you're looking at and what order they're in. ^_^

    Memorizing the colors is what I did.

    The savage raiding and class design are tightly coupled in this discussion. They actually did have animation based dodging back with original shiva and Ramuh. Problem was, graphics got flashy and you could have a hard time seeing what the boss was doing (And we still have that problem when doing Limit Breaks, to the point you really want to make sure you know where you are at in the fight when you fire them off).

    The other issue, and I'm not going to beat around the bush with this: being a DPS in this game is a feels bad experience in Savage. To make them interesting to play, they have positionals on melee plus rotations and cooldowns to maintain, and out of all the jobs I swear melee dps die the most, followed by ranged dps who outside of dancer have to check their bars during combat to make sure they are hitting OGCDs on time, third by healers, and tanks being by far the easiest to play. I wouldn't advocate any change to the savage mode system unless they do something to make it easier for dps to keep their OGCD's firing on time and keeping rotations running. Even samurai being as simple as it is sometimes requires correction during the fight.
