I HATE the hildebrand questline.. HATE HATE HATE it... The only reason I'm doing it, is because Mentor roulette is locked behind it... Can we please undo that!

You can skip the cutscenes, in case you forgot.
You can also just not read any of the Dialogue and just run through the Quests.

Mentor roulette exists to help fill ques. Hildy unlocks 4 trials, some of which are long ques because of how many people dont have them unlocked(either due to lack of interest or lack of knowledge they exist). If doing the thing that mentor roulette exists for isnt something you can handle, maybe stop pretending to be a mentor.

I agree, imagine the horribleness of including something light and fun in a video game!

being a mentor is all about drive and elitism! shouldnt have to deal with things that are enjoyable, gotta get to be a mentor so you can grind those saplings into mindless drones that just do savages an spend all their time number crunching!!!

(on a personal note, I find the questline hilarious and a nice change of pace. I think they were sadly missed in the first given that after the last installment was a golden opportunity to have them appear there)

bottom line is, not all content is enjoyed by all. As a mentor, you SHOULD have to do all content so that you are familiar with it. even if its fun things that you hate....

Or.. you can accept that not everyone likes the same content. All the OP said is that they hate Hildibrand's stuff.. and they're not the only one. You don't need to go on a mentor related tirade over it. I will agree though that Hildibrand stuff shouldn't be removed from mentor roulette.

I love the Hildebrand series and was disappointed that there wasn't a questline in ShB for it so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's alright if it's not your cup of tea - you're welcome to skip dialogue and just move on. But there's no need to go on a vitriolic tantrum over it just because you had to do it to unlock content. It's light-hearted, humorous fun for those who enjoy it, and for those who don't, well... the solution has been given multiple times.
