GPU Crash help?

Lately the past couple of months I've been having this issue where FF14 causes my GPU to crash. The screen will go black and not come back on and I'm forced to restart my PC to fix it. Most often the crash happens upon finishing character select and when its loading the world, Second Most often occurrence is when I've minimized or tabbed out of the window or tab back in. The rest of the time it can happen completely randomly.

My Graphics card is the RTX 2070, I have 32 gb of ram, My CPU is the i7-9700 from intel and I have no other game that does this, the issue is specific to Final Fantasy 14. Its made it much more difficult to play. I've tried going to min settings, and setting it to max settings. Regardless of what I've chosen it doesn't appear to affect the frequency of the crashes.

I'd appreciate any and all help I can get

I have discovered running it without DirectX11 seems to make it crash less, but in contrast my framerate is much worse without DirectX11 on. I'm not sure if this info helps

My graphics drivers are currently up to date. I already updated them a few days ago to try and fix the issue.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
6) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
