How Do I Determine How Much Copper Ore I Have In My Inventory?

I have taken up crafting and am making copper ingots to raise my goldsmithing skill. When I purchase copper ore it does not appear in my inventory. The leather I purchase does, but not the copper ore.

Is there a way to determine how much copper or I have?

It does go into your inventory but potentially in a different bag? There is an option for inventory to display all four bags at the same time. The ore is there but it's easy to miss, especially if you have similar ores in your inventory.

Easiest way will be to press "N" to bring up your crafting window, select Copper Ingot as the recipe, right click on the copper ore on the recipe and choose the option "Search".

It will go through and list where you have copper ore - inventory, and retainers.

you can type /isearch copper ore and it'll show how many you have and where they are located.

Also, when you are looking at the vendor to buy ore and whatnot, you can hover the cursor over the item being bought, and in the pop-up window that shows the details of the item, I believe (not in game at the moment) on the top right corner of the window it will show you how many you have.

And from the same shopping window with mouse and keyboard, not sure on controller, you can right-click, and select Search. It will show you where in your inventory you have any items, if you do. And if you have opened any of your retainers since logging in, it will search those as well. And the Saddlebag.

/isearch only takes one argument, so the term "ore" in your example is ignored. If you want to search for a phrase, you have to use quotes. /isearch "copper ore" or /isearch copper

/isearch doesn't tell you how many you have. It tells you if you have any at all. The result of the /isearch command is a list of itemlinks of all items in all inventory tables that match the search term. If the item you are looking for doesn't appear in the list, you don't have any anywhere.

If you want to know how many you have in your character inventory, you can then hover over the item link in the chat box and look at the tooltip. If you want to know how many you have across all inventories, you have to right click the itemlink and Search for item.
