    Annoying SMN pet dismiss sound

    Really quick bit of feedback for SE: please consider changing or removing the pet dismiss sound for SMN. Now that pets are being summoned and dismissed very rapidly, it is annoying to hear the dismiss sound every few seconds when in a party with a SMN.

    i.e. "skreee! skreee! skreee!"

    Completely agree. The summoning sound is no better. And change Pelaton too.

    People might get angry if they remove that sound.

    I didn't mind it before but now that it's constant, it gets annoying. A simple low volume fix might help though.

    Alternatively they could just make the Summon Carbuncle a cosmetic spell.

    The pet literally does nothing (mechanically AND visually) other than become a liability for your shield usage.

    It is absolutely useless except that it is there to look pretty, but in addition it unnecessarily creates problems in the rotation such as the inability to use the buff in the demi phases, and the firsts second of elemental summon, and it's the same for the shield, carbuncles must not interfere at all in battle not even for secondary spells, or else it must not be replaced by a demi/elemental

    Don't get me wrong, I like the little fella... When I'm chiling out in cities or running casual content. I'm not even that mad at Radiant Aegis because it's a planned moment, but the shield? I need that on a case-to-case situation, and like you said, it's unavailable for many moments. Sometimes even at that small fraction that a Primal appears to do its thing, is the moment you're about to eat a telegraph by mistake and the shield is not... available. If the shield is meant to be an emergency button, it should be available all the time. And needless to say that SMN got plenty of weaving slots available.

    Secondly, sometimes the animation of the Carby popping out, then back in over and over is a bit distracting, as it happens right next to your character. So making Summon Carbuncle just a cosmetic spell would literally please everyone while making SMN's utility a bit less clunky to use.

    Get rid of carby and problem solved. Just have him be the animation that plays when you use aegis.

    I would like the old summon circle animation to come back at some point, putting a cast time on aegis might be a bit excessive, however.

    how about we hold the developers to a higher standard and fix the coding and allow the gemshine/demi summons to not despawn carbuncle, alongside making carbuncle useful again via auto attacking or passive healing ala fairy?

    If they are gonna rework a job how about they actually put effort into it and not just make it a shiny turd?

    If that wasn't fixed now with the rework... I'd also be curious what is holding them back. Is this code like a big jenga game and messing with something so low could break the whole strucute? Dunno if we'll ever know, but I'd love a more technical explanation on that one.

    Because honestly, this code fix would probably benefit the game way more than just the Summoner.

    Honestly remove the resummon mechanic and add the avatars back in via reaper tech on carby. They’re why we didn’t get cool pet mechanics to go with the good pet AI.
