Y'know, I kind of like that, just limit your account to 1 FC per server. Simple, elegant, easy to implement and hard to work around without signing an entirely different account (With expansions if you want to mess with Kugane.)

BUT, and this is very important to note, I'm the kind of person that doesn't even understand why people would need an actual legitimate Alt-Character for a game like this where you can do everything on a single character. I really wouldn't be able to personally understand why people would need to also be signed to multiple FCs. And that's more on me than it not actually making sense.

Which means it's up to somebody else to point out if having your account locked to a single FC per server is a bad idea.

There's always going to be the handful of people that want to stick a char in their friend's FC especially since we can roll 8/server.

How would you suggest handling that?

They can't actually cap 1 FC properly unless you were only allowed to join one FC per DC PERIOD. That means, your alts wouldn't be able to join a different FC than your main. Otherwise, it's loopholable: someone else makes the fc, a house is acquired, ownership is transferred over to someone that already owns a personal and is the leader of another FC that has a house.

And all this, to prevent like 200 houses out of a couple thousand from being owned by solo FCs, most of which were likely legit at some point, but died out and transferred to someone that stuck around or came back from a break only to realize that they own a house now.

I get that everyone in this section is salty about housing, about the drought, the lack of access, even the low price threshold to get a house in the first place, but dunking on tiny FCs or solo FCs or making the entire playerbase pay taxes for a house is ridiculous. The only way to resolve the current housing issues, is to add more housing. Everything else is just a bandaid fix that doesn't address the root cause of the issue.

Alternatively, a few more DCs in NA and EU are required anyway. That would help alleviate a lot of housing problems, and compensate for a playerbase that is likely to grow come the new expansion.

If the FC has less than four members, IMO that FC should be disbanded. SE should also look into making FC things (like gardening and the workshop) available to players outside of housing.

Same housing stats website as usual: Oliver's. 5% of the current number of plots would put that at 200-300 plots are owned by solo fcs.

It has also been pointed out why they can't just add either Instanced Housing and/or add more houses. They've been adding more houses, the new wards last for a whole minute before we've run out of Mediums and Larges again, maybe a couple of hours and we're out of Smalls and back into having the exact same issue. At best you can allow people to better transfer characters between servers/DCs so that people go to lower populated worlds and maybe find an actual just free house that they don't camp over, but as its stand the service is expensive af and it means someone is leaving everyone they know from the old server just because Placard Camping is shit.

Placard Camping needs to die. And it won't die just because there are more houses. It needs to be completely eliminated without any trace it was there, the same way you cover old tennage-years photos (Because they're the same level of embarassement.)

Would been nice but alts cannot share apartment or houses since you are unable to add your alt to your friendslist which is a requirement to add them.
