    severe lag/latency in Delubrum Reginae

time of occurence: 7:23pm est, data center: Primal. getting severe lag/latency in Delubrum Reginae, been 9006’k 1ce, can’t interact/use actions, or participate because of the lag/latency. when i get raised after dying it takes a full minute for things to catch up, by witch point the raise status wears off.

Can you do me a favor?

On you're start menu, type event viewer go to windows logs/system. take notice of the time you experience problems and let me know if you see any recurrent errors saying Distrubuted DCOM with an event ID of 10010. I've a hunch that they goofed it following 5.45's launch.

I had this same odd problem too. It doesn't appear to be just us.

I think it's a device communication issue. After investigating it quite a bit. I think we might have an interconnected problem between the game itself and how it interfaces with hardware. It's probably an oversight.

That you mention not being able to interact with things, it's kind of lending weight to a conversation I just raised with a mod

I've been having some pretty poor lag if the game's running for longer than 2 hours - it'll lag like every 15 minutes for a few seconds. only started once they released the patch, maybe they need to hotfix something.

Hmm, It's more or less the same exact thing, I'm putting my feelers out on this one.

Next time it happens, check the event log like i said before.

There seems to be a problem with device communication with the game itself. I'm still investigating it. Most common fixes aren't doing much. So it doesn't appear to be any issues with overlays such as discord and steam. There's definitely something up. It's not done this one before for sure.

Heard people are getting probs in bozja.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

Waffles298, we apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN browser. If they are already checked, please uncheck them then recheck them.
    - The issue could also be from the "Date & Time" settings on your PS4.
    1. Close the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
    2. Go to [SETTINGS] on your PS4
    3. Select [Date and Time], and "Set via Internet". (Please do not manually set the date and time.)
    4. Once the date and time have been updated, please restart your PS4 console.
    5. Once the console has fully restarted, please start the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.

Please make sure all other internet-enabled devices (including smartphones, laptop/desktop PCs, tablets, etc.) have been disabled and/or turned OFF to minimize game interference.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
