Zepla HQ is good for information given in a very calm and easily digestible manner. I've seen her videos on mounts and emotes and they're both extremely informative!I met Mrhappy and Mizzteq at Fanfest. I always liked them because they had a large impact on introducing newer people to savage and other end game content. It's easier to make the leap because they share their guides and experiences in a way that doesn't make it seem as daunting like some others.
Zepla HQ is good too, she makes good meme videos based on events happening in Eorzea. Pokes fun of top topics from casual to 'toxic elitism' too.
I like how Work To Game discuss different community topics and don't just repeat whatever is posted on the Lodestone. It's something to listen to at work. Tea time with Meoni is a similar but less scripted format of two people talking about the game.
Mr. Happy covers interviews which I'm too lazy to keep track of otherwise. Sometimes I listen to his patch note reading or live letter digest if I haven't had time to read them.
Zepla HQ has fun videos and also some commentary on community topics.
For guides I just use the search function. Many content creators make guides about different things and I don't have a favorite.
I enjoy Speakers Network. It has a lot of information on the lore of the game that is kept up to date and goes all the way back with a series on 1.0 if you ever wanted to see what the game looked like at that time.
Speakers is good for 1.0 topics and inner workings, definitely learned a lot.
MTQ for guides. (Though a special shout-out to AzuristSky who made a very informative O12s unsync guide which helped my group get clears and mounts)
Larryzaur for humor along with Zepla.
Meoni for just random discussion and just posting what rewards are and such. Easy info to find but nice to have it in a video format.
OistyT checking in. I post stuff 2-3 times a week on different things. Also on this subject is there like a content creators Reddit/discord as can’t seem to find places to post/get advice on new videos
Hmmmm.. < looks at YouTube subscription list >
Misshapen Chair (humor and actual how-to)
Work To Game ( a bit pedantic)
Rhigitar (humor and um, lore?)
Lucron (ex? WoW player who does impression/walkthroughs)
Meoni (for all your FFXIV news and commentary)
Zane Lionhart (making gil/crafting)
Larryzaur (more Raiding than straight-up humor these days)
Work 2 Game is a tough one for me. Their videos seem to waver so much between interesting discussion and blatant click bait that I can't say I'd personally recommend them. Out of all of the FF14 content creators I do watch, their videos have the lowest completion rate. It seems I'm just as likely to watch all the way through as I am to just click away after 2 minutes.
Other than the big names already mentioned, I'll throw in TinyBlueGames. He's still fairly new to 14 (or at least is still progressing through HW atm) but he's an MMO vet who brings a fun, new experience to the game. It's always nice to see someone truly experiencing the game for the first time instead of just watching the seasoned, grizzled veterans.
I like TBG. He's got a soft voice, and he's a relaxing perspective. Sometimes I feel like he reaches for saying something unique, rather than what he really thinks, but that's just me.Work 2 Game is a tough one for me. "I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
Just wanted to echo what others have said about MTQ. That’s been my go-to resource for battle guides for years now. She’s great.
I like her guides because she has a calm demeanor while being straight to the point with mechanics. I've tried watching other peoples' guides but there's usually a lot of crap I don't need to know in between explanations. Not the case with MTQ though. She tells us what we need to know, no more and no less. Short, sweet and to the point...that's how I like it.
