I think part of the reason it felt so long was that the video went on at high tension for a long time. There was a bit of rising and falling action which was good, but for a good segment of the movie, for about 5+ minutes it was all high action.

I realize with these types of videos, you're working with footage you captured, so it can be difficult, but once a video gets to be over a minute or two long, you may want to think about the narrative arc of the video having a few dips in it. Try to capture a few beats with a little less action, and work with a song that has low points as well. Still a fun video either way.
