So for a while now, I've found it a bit weird that when you use the aesthetician's services that you're only left with such a small amount of options to alter for your character:

This is probably a redundant topic but would anyone be on board with SE implementing deluxe services from the Aesthetician to provide you with each of the options for your chosen race but for an extra upcharge of Gil?

Would be nice if they did. Doubt they'd want to cut into fantasia sales but it'd be nice. WOW expanded its barbershop greatly over the last expansion or so and greatly expanded what you can change for gold there, would be nice to do anything short of race/gender changing with him instead of getting a fantasia.

I completely agree.

Miqo'te/AoRa/Hroth shouldn't have to use a Fantasia just to change their tales.

Elezen/Lala players that wanna fix their ears shouldn't have to pay real money.

Etc.

However, they should add hairstyle and makeup to glamour plates. They could repurpose Jandelain's Tokens so that it costs a token each time you want to modify the hairstyle on a plate.

This is kind of just my perspective on it, so take it whatever way you want. I feel like they view tail/ear changes as part of changing your character as a whole because they would technically be considered body parts. If you notice, we can't alter anything through the aesthetician that we couldn't alter naturally ourselves (outside of limbal rings but they could be considered contacts...which also makes me wonder why we don't have eye color changes but oh well).

For example you can cut and dye your hair whenever you want irl, all you need are scissors and a box of hair dye which are easily accessible items. But if you wanted to alter part of your face (like get a nose job irl), you have to go get surgery for that and pay a doctor to do it. I mean, you can do it yourself I guess but you'd probably not do a great job lol.

So that's how I view fantasia vs. aesthetician stuff because at the end of the day, the aesthetician is nothing more than a cosmetologist/hair dresser irl. They can't give you a nose job like a plastic surgeon could because it's out of their area of expertise.

Pretty much this... As much as I'd love to, if they'd broad the options, they would be losing Fantasia sales - sometimes people buy just to change minor things like eye color... So yeah, from a commercial standpoint, I doubt.

They could theoretically expand into more options, but not sure if they ever will.

I wouldn't mind seeing skin tone, eye color, and voice being options to change (especially since there's not really a way in the character creator to tell if your character will use battle grunts that you find annoying to hear) But they will never expand to all the options.

The problem is.. that's what Fantasia is for.. and SE is selling those. Such is probably the reason that the Aesthetician has the bare basics rather than a full suite of everything.

I'm not suggesting to allow entire race, clan and gender swaps though, I understand keeping those options behind Fantasia. And as other users suggested if not allowing the full suite, simply expanding a bit more of the available options would be fine as well.

You could do something like charge 1M for using the expanded options. 1M is fairly easy to get for most people but it can take some time if you aren't a crafter; it also would add up to a significant chunk of gil for a fantasia addict. Some people may think $10 for a fantasia is better than 1M, others might see it differently.
