    Incorrect Shaders/Normals - Select Prop Based Items & Emotes

    When submitting a bug report, please use the below template and thoroughly fill out the necessary information.

    Date & Time: 3/11 - 12AM (Issue started at the release of latest patch)
    Frequency: Current as of the latest patch
    World name: Balmung
    Character name: Saraana Qalli
    Area and coordinates: All Locations

    Steps:
    1. Use select prop based emotes -> /read - /toast - /breakfast
    2. Use in dimly lit location to see proper issue. The item will glow as if its normals or shaders are incorrectly placed. This issue also happens in daylight but is much harder for the eye to catch if you're not looking for it.

    This issue is apparent for all current players I have spoke to regardless of PC/PS4 and has been occurring since the latest patch when the Paint Brush Emote was added in. I have been actively trying to contact support with this issue for over a month in game and kept getting a generic "more info needed" message on loop. Hopefully listing in the forums will get this issue resolved soon.

    To obtain the system information, open the FFXIV launcher and select Config → System Information → Display.

    (Information Excluded. This issue currently persists on all versions of the game and is viewable to all players within the correct lighting situations.)

    I haven't tried it recently, but the book from the read emote has always looked overly dark to me. Gpose lighting doesn't seem to affect it.

    If it's overly lit now, perhaps they tried to adjust it and have simply shifted which lighting situations make it conspicuous.
