What do you love most about your favorite DPS class?

In the tank forums, I posed a question on what content they loved to tank the most. An attempt to talk about positive tanking experiences as a reminder of some of the more positives of the role.

Here I want to approach it a little differently; What do you love most about your favorite DPS class? Why do wield ninjutsu or iaijutsu? Dance around the battlefield or cause Bahamut to raze it? Why do you DPS the way the you do?

My first time in game I lived on tanks and healers, barely touching the DPS role. Coming back last month I unlocked machinist and red mage and dabbling in both when I'm not my GF's meatshield of choice and enjoying RDM's balancing act.

I like how fast and fluid Nin is.
    It's speed let's me greed.
Ration and Hyosho Ranryu let me keep up the pressure when the boss thinks it can make me disengage.
Before Nin I enjoyed jobs that did more stable and consistent damage. Not the peaks and valleys of burst windows. But Nin showed me how fun it can be to try and move things around to get that damage right where you want it.

Plus, it's glam game is sick, even if a lot of their knives are rather overly designed for me.

I get some really fancy hats as a Bard to really go all in on Fashion Fantasy XIV. I also enjoy how busy Wanderer's Minuet and Mage's Ballad can be.

I've played Monk and BLM since ARR.

Fighting games is my favorite genre of games so I am biased in favor of Monk, I am aware of all the issues and I do agree with them strongly but every time I play SAM or NIN I keep coming back to Monk.
I just like the flow of it, it sorta feels like a dance with a flowing tempo going.
NIN feels like that too but way slower especially after the Mudra changes ( altho I think the Mudra changes were for the better ).
I just love Monk thematically too, outside of the obvious changes I want new animations too tho the base 3 combo looks and feels very outdated and not like a '' Master Monk ''. I'd like more kicks, Demolish and Dragon Kick should be what they should live up to animation wise.

BLM because I mainly play spellcasters in MMO's and I like big explosions.
I just like the Dark Mage thing too without them being necessarily straight up Warlocks or using some alternate type of magic.
Altho I'd like to see more Void spells too but still.
I like that Fire is the main thing.

Flexibility - RDM. You have a lot of flexibility in positioning due to instant casts giving you that extra space to move with. You have the choice to quick raise and the choice to delay your big dps burst if needed with reprisal while on the move now.

Ninja was one of my favorite jobs because of the flexibility and far range attacks with the speed of executing them (Kassatsu giving an extra charge or evolving current mudras is great to use imo), but TCJ is one of my huge dislikes because of how it locks you in place and has a lot more static decisions to make when using it. It felt weird to suddenly have a skill that locks your movement when all your other skills are made so you can attack without stopping. The mudras working slower but having more impact is also a very nice change. Imo, trick attack is just getting a little too bunched up where if you end up having lag for a brief moment, a good portion of your damage can get destroyed. That might just be a me problem though.

BLM is great in general cause of how cohesive the kit feels with the ability to move quickly through burst movement if required. It feels like a tactical nuke at times due to the amount of optimization you can do with the movement.

My favorite job is Dancer. No positionals. (They're not hard I just think they're useless) No DoTs. And no Cast Bars.

PvP or PvE, SAM burst sequence feels extremely decisive. PvP in particular it's like... this person was out of step for just a second and in two GCDs they are dead.

BLM is incredibly well designed and flows well. Aside from having to relearn the class like three times while leveling I honestly can't think of any class that feels better.
Plus it's pleasantly easy in casual content while having a nice skill ceiling in endgame content, relatively few skills but each having signifcant impact and a decent amount of RNG to keep it interesting but not so much as to make it frustrating (looking at you "Can we do it again please?"-no-proc-opener on DNC). Really the best of both worlds for me. Also the Eno-chan timer really keeps you on your toes.
And I like that it uses mainly good old fire. Not this kind of ambiguous sparkles but really fire. It looks like fire, it sounds like fire... it hits like fire. Shooting lightning would've been fine aswell but nothing like a good old huge explosion that you can hear across the whole platform.

So far, I like the fast-paced NIN aswell and I generally prefer higher APM classes (BLM really being an exception) but the gigantic gap between burst and noodle phase is putting me off a bit. Same on DNC. Between bursts it feels like there just isn't enough to do. Burst is crazy button mashing and fun but noodle phase is a bit too noodley for me. Both are definitely a lot fun but I couldn't main them.

Monk - Fast gameplay with positionals.
Dragoon - Funny to run dungeons with all the gapclosers and sick animations. (But pretty boring in raid content.)
