I love it.
It's flexible and intuitive and I feel like SQEX really nailed feeling like you're dancing with this class.
As much as I dig it though, I don't play it as it goes too far against my character concept. Maybe someday I'll get over that.

The only thing I don't like about Dancer is the Closed Position mechanic, just like I don't like Dragoon's Dragon Sight mechanic.

I love Dancer. It avoids the samey feeling of other dps to me since it's a Dps that also provides utility and support. That is, a job that lets you react more instead of just following a rotation and keeping your dps up. I wish every dps was like that, honestly. Dance partner is my favorite thing.
The mobility is super fun too. Since they stripped NIN off its utilities other than Trick Attack I basically stopped maining NIN to go DNC.
Love DNC as a concept a blade dancer using Chakrams and the power of enticement however DNC in ff14 while not bad by any means and successfully made a unique ranged job, its not for me
Mainly its wayyy too easy like borderline the job you pick when your drunk or need to review mechanics, ya know a practice job and ff14 doesnt need jobs like that tbh. It isnt the easiest in the game that honor goes to the 5 button wonder, but DNC isnt so far off. idk mainly i hate it for robbing MCH rng with even worse rng or maybe the job is just left wanting.
“Theirs really not much you can change with the MCH”

Where is the ambition?

This is my personal rating for the class itselfI like playing DNC to look pretty (lol). I do know a few friend in my circle that doesn't appreciate the class' aesthetic though so you're definitely not alone there. I just wish they're introduced to the playerbase at earlier level due to how easy to utilize the class. Turn them into sort of... 'beginner tier physical ranged dps class'. Of course that's just a wishful thinking.
- Difficulty: 1/10
Not much needed to be said here.- Availability: 2/10
Despite being one of the easiest (arguably easiest dps) class, it only opens up at lv60.- Aesthetic: 8/10
Subjective input here. Everything looks perfect to me until I decide to do some /gpose of their weaponskills for screenshots. The amount of inhumane clipping our avatar do to perform those acrobatic movement looks less amazing when it's highlighted.Otherwise I'd give them a 10/10.
since we‘re going basically to the place where dancer originated, i think there will be tons and tons of new glamour fitting dancer!! i‘m so excited for the glamour in 6.0!
Personally, I' not a fan of playing it. I can't really put my finger on it, but I just don't get the same satisfaction out of it as when I play Monk or Machinist.
If I were to have some sort of statement, it just doesn't feel right for me. However, if you enjoy it, and I know plenty that do, all the power to you. Regardless, it is still getting levelled to 90 in EW anyway. You never know, it might get something that I enjoy.

The point is it's a lot less just about dishing out damage and playing "solo" than any other DPS. Every job has a rotation, but DNC is ACTIVELY supporting the party or dance partner with utilities and damage mitigation in parallel throughout the combat. And with exception of Steps those utilities are reactionary rather than just things you use because your rotation mandates it.

Otherwise I'd give them a 10/10.
