Anyone else not find Dancer appealing as a class?

Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but something about Dancer just rubs me the wrong way. I can't explain it. At first I thought maybe I didn't like it because it's kinda feminine, but it's not really that. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm dreading taking it to 80 and I'm probably going to save it till the last thing I need to level to get that mount.

From the way i see it, it is because the entire basic rotation, including the attacks which are effected by Fourfold Feathers and the Esprit Gauge, are in a technical sense, the same skill with different potency changes, which is reason enough for me to not touch DNC outside of any PotD/HoH solo attempts. Or in other words said, DNC feels to me like a sandwich being promised to me but all i got was a slice of bread with no butter and 4 slices of the same cheese.

I like the throwing glavies. Not too fond of the way the character prances around/shakes their hips.

What I don't like about it is the aesthetic / look when you draw your weapon. I personally think it's pretty lame to stand there jumping up and down holding your weapons at your side. Really doesn't look worrisome / intimidating / etc when in a cutscene or something and your character inter-ject's between 2 NPC's to protect the 1 from the other. Admittidly this is the same issue I have with SMN & SCH as well... whipping out a book just.... doesn't look great IMO.

Hahaha this. When you think of the "Warrior of Light" or being the "hero" pulling out a book just doesnt have the same feel as pulling out a giant Sword or a Spear or something sharp. Unless of course your goal is to papercut someone to death lol!
Funny thing though, I'd classify both SMN and DNC as my two main jobs. (White Mage as my third but only for helping my FC get content clears)

In a way its good we're getting Sage with the Nouliths for healers, because books, cards and a stick just do not have that "threatening" look you expect from the "hero" of the story haha. But those Nouliths do look pretty cool. Basically like some kind of souped up version of Yondu's Yaka arrow weapon in Guardians of the Galaxy. But instead of one you've got.. what is it six nouliths?

I like my summoner spellbook pose. it seems perfectly ready to call forth enchantments on my foes.

Dancer, on the other hand, I don't like their battle pose at all - not just because it doesn't look intimidating but because it doesn't at all look like they're poised to either dance or throw the chakrams.

Plus the "constantly in motion" thing looks awful in cutscenes. Monk has that issue too, but at least they look very ready to punch something.

I like dancer but its far too slow paced and RNG based for me. I prefer MCH over BRD and DNC. I do love dancer's AOE abilities.

I'd like to see it evolve a bit more but I really like it! Came kind of as a surprise.
I like that it feels like a cross between a DPS and a mini healer. I'm fed-up with healing so it's the next best thing and the effects looks really nice.
