Frankly, I don't know why anyone would want to go to any of these "venues". ERP or not. Like, I went to one once when it was all happening, supposedly a protest over it or something.. All it was, was people afk in a basement, but not actually afk, and others pretending to be bartenders. I have no idea how anybody finds any of it real interesting, especially adults.

Honestly, I've always thought the whole concept was odd. Like I get RP in a story sense, like your character going through the story. What choices they would make in given situations, etc. But nightclub, or casino RP? Take out the ERP element... It's just a bunch of adults playing pretend. Pretend "staff", though they are APPARENTLY actual "staff", because gil actually changes hands, and they get paid. Wild stuff. Maybe I just have a low attention span.

I'd understand a tavern setting, because that's a typical fantasy element. But a full on nightclub or casino? Again, probably not meant to understand it. I've also seen "maid cafes" listed on the party finder, and that's more of an anime thing I guess. Still beyond my comprehension, but I can understand the reason for its existence within the confines of the game.
