Most SMNs never really reach it due to the fact they think +smn skill will make up for their gimped based SMN skill lol. So depending on when exactly you played, you likely missed out on some of the adjustments that boosted SMN outside of Abyssea. Even PUP shines outside of Abyssea if the master is up to date with everything, so I never take Abyssea into consideration due to the fact Atmas can boost even the gimpest of players into gods.

I still play . . . and for the record I haven't seen any well geared SMN on Pheonix at top rank with the other melees. Sorry hun but SMN is still in beta and needs to come out of beta. SMN is still laughable AF2+2 is not as great some pieces are amazing but I use a few for my BP timer and ATT and still don't get the dmg of my other friends. . . What needs to happen is SMN 1 min timer needs to be brought down to 45 secs then there should be a 15 sec soft cap so they can get to 30 seconds . . . 15 secs make a huge difference . . . if this was made then we would see the SMN you and I are talking about. Even with my 417 capped SMN skill and the mythics with the Ice and Wind staff from magians. . . . I always came MNK because the DD is better :X
