Entering Halatali

I need to enter Halatali for my hunting log - Twin Adder. I have tried duty , but since it is not on my list of open dungeons, I have not been successful. Can someone point me to the start NPC for the quest line to enter?

Halatali is an optional level 20 dungeon. The quest starts at Vesper Bay, probably intended that you pick it up when first inducted into the Scions.

Generally speaking, make sure you pick up sidequests with the blue "plus" symbol because they always unlock something - either optional dungeons or extra game features.

Just to add to this: The quest is called "Hallo Halatali" and is given to you by an NPC named Nedrick Ironheart - hes located at x12, y14 in Vesper bay in Western Thanalan.

Doesn't matter which Grand Company you chose - the MSQ will send you to Vesper Bay many many times. So unless you have just ignored the MSQ you should have walked past this NPC several times.

The quest in question becomes available when you report back to Minfilia shortly before the fight with Ifrit - hence before you get to choose GC.
