I hope this is a feature from Endwalker, because yes, it needs a lot of attention. The only thing XIV has in abundance is hairstyles, but the rest... not as much.

1. More face options: Some races have only FOUR... How that's even remotely okay to a game with XIV's standards? The "detail" options (mouth/nose/eye shape/etc) barely make any impact on the overall result of the face... So either add more faces altogether, or more drastic "detail" options.

2. Separate horns from Au Ra faces;

3. More tail options for the applicable races;

4. More consistent features: For example... Miqo'te male face 01 has a side-eye tattoo that is optional. Yet the face 05 has the same tattoo but permanent? Why? There are many inconsistencies like this across the board.

5. More beard options for male characters;

6. Add about 10% more to both ends of the height slider;

7. Add more face paint options, and let you stack 2 of them at once;

8. For lip and face paint color: We have currently Light and Dark... but one is way too faint and the other is way too dark/muddy. Add a third option called "Vibrant" with actual vivid colors;

9. The hair color wheel is deceptively big: If you stop to realize, you'll see that we don't actually have a lot of hue variation, but just the amount of black within' each color. So yeah, more actual distinct hues.

10. Texture upscale across the board: I hardly think how the current blurry textures are going to be remotely okay for PS5 users. Ironically, all of the footage shown so far was from a distance... I bet people will have a surprise when playing up close.

There's also the whole Viera and Hrothgar situation, but that is a whole separate thread.
