    You have already quoted the answer to your question. Yours was among the most derisive of posts, and I have determined that there is no more sufficient answer to your "legitimate" question than that. Remember, you have the active role as the consumer in the FFXIV economy, so you are under no obligation to purchase anything with your gil that you do not want. No one is "robbing" you. You have the option to pass on any transaction that you do not wish to partake in, and I encourage you to execute that option. Were you to come to the Royal Ruby this Friday night and decide to not purchase anything, we would not "rob" you, or otherwise demean you for* doing so.
