Personally, I don't see the harm in this, as he clearly stated that his group does not endorse ERP. Also, I understand that RP is not everyone's thing, but to many it is, so don't hate. I'd much rather see stuff like this in General than countless Titanmen-esque troll threads.

Not sure what's so hard to understand. Some people really like to act out their fantasies in a harmless way, whether it be gambling or whatever else they want to RP. That, and some people like to feel like they aren't alone in the (game) world, and the venues are a nice place to do that with like minded people.

Apologies, but I disagree. As we are seeking to attract clientele from other World Servers in the Primal datacenter in addition to Behemoth, it follows only naturally that it should go here in lieu of a datacenter sub-forum. ^^

Then I suppose you could make subsequent posts on the other world group forums in the data center. General discussion seems to be the place to petition the forum for a data center sub forum though.

That would be spam. Plus when the DC visit hits you can get players across all data centers. so yea this is just gonna increase anyways. Just waiting for content run sellers to hit the forums next.

I'd understand a tavern setting, because that's a typical fantasy element. But a full on nightclub or casino? Again, probably not meant to understand it. I've also seen "maid cafes" listed on the party finder, and that's more of an anime thing I guess. Still beyond my comprehension, but I can understand the reason for its existence within the confines of the game.

FF14 has both a nightclub and a casino. Tavern isn’t really a ff thing although there is a couple.

Not really. This game is filled with taverns. One in each city, in fact, and a few spread out through random zones. I'm thinking with my MMORPG head, though I think it's adorable that you're attributing it to WoW only. We do have Gold Saucer though which is about as close to a casino as we can get without it actually being one. But I think it's more of a mini game hub than a casino in most respects.

Frankly, I don't know why anyone would want to go to any of these "venues". I have no idea how anybody finds any of it real interesting, especially adults.

I’ve had similar comments aimed at me by family and friends when I try to explain why I enjoy playing FFXIV.

Naw, they are getting ready for data center visit. This is the perfect place to test the waters of the forums. And i'd say they are killing it. More PF listing need to get off game and dig in on the forums.
