    Tomestones are data storage devices. Maybe they are like P.A.D.D.s in Star Trek. Makes sense that we would try to read one from time to time rather than giving them all to Rowena or the Moogles. What are they doing with them anyway?

    At very least, technically it ought to be a tomestone reader, because the average tomestone looks like you can read it about as well as a computer chip.

    But mostly it just annoys me, even if it's valid in lore.
